The reporting location for this position is Office of Historic Preservation in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer.
The Restoration Architect shall be responsible for assisting in the state-wide review of the federal Historic Tax Incentives Program and the State Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program. The incumbent also provides professional architectural support for diverse federal and state mandated programs. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge for the application of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the treatment of Historic Properties, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and the CHBC (California Historical Building Code), and have possession of a valid certificate of registration as an architect issued by the California State Board of Architectural Examiners or the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. and Education.

Role description
The Enterprise Architect is a senior technical leader within the Department of Technology (DT), reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications. This role is responsible for defining, governing, and advancing the City's application and integration architecture. The Architect ensures that technology solutions are secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with Citywide business objectives and compliance requirements.
Balancing strategic vision with hands-on technical execution, the Enterprise Architect establishes architectural standards, designs enterprise-grade solutions, and contributes to development activities when needed. The ideal candidate has deep full-stack engineering experience-from modern UI frameworks through backend services, data design, and DevOps automation-and actively promotes the responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve quality, security, and operational efficiency.
The Enterprise Architect serves as the principal authority on application architecture within the DT's Enterprise Applications division. While primarily focused on setting strategic direction and architectural standards, this role maintains a hands-on approach-leading by example through prototyping, designing, and mentoring development/product teams.
This position requires deep technical knowledge across the full development stack, including front-end frameworks, server-side logic, database optimization, and cloud-based DevOps practices. How to qualify
Education: Possession of an associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely-related field].
Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles
and
Two (2) years of full-stack software development experience.
SUBSTITUTION: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field.
Note: Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirement by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.
One-year full-time employment is considered equivalent to 2000 hours (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40 hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.

Appointment Type: Permanent Exempt (PEX), Full Time position is excluded by the Charter from the competitive civil service examination process and shall serve at the discretion of the appointment officer.
Work Location: Incumbent will conduct most of the work at the Department of Technology, 1 South Van Ness, as well as 49 South Van Ness in San Francisco, CA 94103. However, there may be situations where the incumbent will be required to work at other sites throughout the City and County of San Francisco as necessary.
Nature of Work: Incumbent must be willing to work a 40-hour week as determined by the department. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site work at our San Francisco office as needed.

The Enterprise Architect serves as the principal authority on application architecture within the DT's Enterprise Applications division.

The Department of Technology seeks a PermitSF Solution Architect, a senior technical leader responsible for guiding the City's technical strategy, integration architecture, and system interoperability for the unified permitting platform built on the OpenGov Permitting & Licensing solution.
This role focuses on ensuring that data flows consistently across all permitting systems, establishing an integration architecture that enables OpenGov to work seamlessly with critical City systems such as Accela, Oracle Forms, and Clariti. The Architect will define enterprise standards, lead architectural decision-making, and work closely with PermitSF, DataSF, Digital Services, the Mayor's Office of Innovation (MOI), and DT to ensure citywide alignment on data governance, API standards, and system modernization roadmaps.
The Architect will also develop the long-term plan for replacing legacy permitting systems and will guide technical decisions that ensure scalability, resilience, and sustainability for the City's new permitting ecosystem.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Provide strategic leadership for PermitSF's integration and system architecture, ensuring consistent data exchange and interoperability across departments.
* Lead architectural decision-making for connecting OpenGov with City systems, including legacy platforms (Accela, Oracle Forms, Clariti) and City infrastructure (API gateway, cloud, and data platforms).
* Establish and maintain enterprise architecture standards covering integrations, data exchange, GIS/addressing, identity, document management, and API design.
* Define the integration layer that decouples City systems and user interfaces from OpenGov logic, ensuring long-term flexibility.
* Ensure alignment with citywide strategies for cloud, cybersecurity, privacy, and digital transformation.
* Architect the system landscape supporting PermitSF, including data synchronization, workflow coordination, data pipelines, GIS services, document management, and API/event-driven integrations.
* Occasionally perform light technical prototyping, configuration, or proof-of-concept work to validate integration approaches or architectural assumptions.
* Guide implementation partners and vendors to ensure architecture compliance and long-term sustainability.
* Advise on configuration tradeoffs to minimize customizations and technical debt.
* Develop the roadmap for transitioning from legacy systems to OpenGov, including coexistence and phased replacement strategies.
* Define operational standards for integrations, including monitoring, performance, security, and lifecycle management.
* Collaborate with DT engineering and operations to ensure long-term platform readiness and support.
* Partner with PermitSF leadership, business owners, DataSF, MOI, and Digital Services to ensure solutions align with redesigned workflows and data governance needs.
* Act as a liaison across City departments - Planning, DBI, Public Works, Fire, Public Health, DataSF, and DT - to ensure technical consistency and alignment.
How to qualify
Education: Possession of an associate's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university OR its equivalent in terms of total course credits/units [i.e., at least sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter credits/units with a minimum of twenty (20) semester or thirty (30) quarter credits/units in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely-related field].
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles
SUBSTITUTION: Additional experience as described above may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis (up to a maximum of two (2) years). One (1) year is equivalent to thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units with a minimum of 10 semester / 15 quarter units in one of the fields above or a closely related field.

Ensure accurate invoicing by Yardi by reviewing invoices and contracts.
Work with training manager to develop training materials and documentation specific to the Yardi suite and make available in Aspire.
Work with site staff to triage, analyze, and troubleshoot issues. Facilitate a positive customer experience by consulting with Yardi for items needing their level of support.
Manage and develop custom reporting from Yardi as requested.
Identify and implement process improvements that elevate user experience and operational performance throughout the resident lifecycle.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Use appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.

Required Education and Experience
Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3- years deep experience as a Yardi Administrator or 3-5 years equivalent experience in enterprise systems support or architecture
Experience within the single-family rental, multifamily, or real estate industry strongly preferred
Experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure or other Cloud platforms
Exposure to Power Automate or other low-code automation platforms
Experience with ETL tools, API integrations, and data pipelines
Working understanding of CRM tools such as HubSpot
Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Knowledge of identity management and security frameworks (SSO, IAM, MFA)

Job Summary
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the MCCCD is looking for a creative AWS Technical Solutions Architect to deliver solutions for ETL and data pipeline activities. Under the direction of the Director of Data Engineering & AI Enablement, this role partners with seasoned data professionals to design and develop architecture solutions. These solutions will be key for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources to repositories in AWS (data lakes and data warehouses) for use in reporting, analytics, AI, and other business needs. The position will also aid in the creation and tuning of SQL scripts as well as assisting in managing AWS RDS databases.
Essential Functions
35% - Writes and optimizes queries to manipulate, cleanse, and extract data for use in data pipelines; collaborates with customers to troubleshoot routine query issues; participates on projects in various capacities lending subject matter expertise; completes deliverables on time and with accuracy.
20% - Creates, configures, and maintains data pipelines in on-prem and cloud environments; uses data repositories, data dictionaries, data warehousing, ETL tools, and other elements of data pipelines; drafts new and updates existing documentation.
15% - Creates, configures, and maintains cloud databases including backups, restores, tuning, patching, upgrading, and monitoring.
10% - Troubleshoots and remediates data issues in association with other ITS teams and customers; responds to inquiries through Maricopa's helpdesk system following established SLAs.
10% - Researches industry standards, trends, best practices and emerging technologies and makes recommendations for implementation; provides guidance and recommendations for security, architecture, and other data related issues.
10% - Attends meetings as relevant; performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in information technology or related field and two (2) years of information technology experience in the design, architecture and implementation of IT Systems.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience developing in SQL.
* Possession of AWS Data Analytics or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
* Experience with RDS database management.
* Experience with PeopleSoft tables and table structure.

Special Working Conditions
