Job Description
Task Force Talent is seeking datascientists for a very well-funded Series C company working on insider threat and supply chain security problems. Target salary range is 150k to 200k+, plus equity, depending on experience level and location.
Please note that although this is a data science position, the company is looking for skill sets much closer to software engineering. This is NOT a role focused on just on statistical analysis or building dashboards. Candidates will have to pass technical interviews similar to software engineering interviews.
The company is profitable and growing fast with approximately 150+ employees. Positions are available in Tysons Corner, VA, and Salt Lake City, UT, with a hybrid (typically 3 days/week in the office) schedule; however, those hours are flexible to accommodate family/childcare and traffic as the goal of in-office hours is to know your team better.

Qualifications

Internship Summary:
NCCPA offers an eight-week internship in summer 2026 for students working toward their Ph.D. in psychometrics (or other relevant fields), with at least two years of graduate coursework. This program is scheduled to begin in June and conclude by the end of August. While interns will work remotely, during the first week of the internship, they will work closely with the psychometric team to develop a research plan for the remaining weeks. This initial project development week may be at the NCCPA offices in Johns Creek, GA, conditions permitting. Over the following weeks, interns will convene weekly virtual meetings with their mentor(s) to discuss progress and address questions. All finalized deliverables will be provided to NCCPA after the internship.
Research projects:
During the program, interns will have the opportunity to gain experience in operational psychometric tasks involved in administering and scoring a certification assessment and to take the lead, in collaboration with psychometric staff, on a research project that supports NCCPA's exam-related research agenda. Current topics of interest to NCCPA revolve primarily around longitudinal assessment. Specific areas of interest include
Adaptive testing,
Natural language processing and machine learning projects,
Response time modeling,
New item type on digital assessments,
Application of LLMs on Automated item generation,
Detecting bias in test content,
Detecting compromised test content,
Studies related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in testing, and
Performance Growth modeling on high-stakes exams.
The research effort will include submitting a proposal to NCME, AERA, or a similar conference, culminating in a research paper that can be delivered at a conference.

As a successful candidate, you will:
We are seeking multiple DataScientists to join our team. These roles will focus on querying and analyzing large, complex datasets to generate insights that inform cancer research and care delivery. The DataScientists will apply data mining, statistical analysis, and machine/deep learning techniques to uncover patterns, develop predictive models, and translate findings into actionable solutions.
* Collaborate with administrative leaders, clinicians, scientists, and IT specialists
* Query, integrate and analyze large datasets from multiple systems
* Develop, build and evaluate machine learning and deep learning models
* Design and implement pilot studies to validate, optimize, and assess model/data science workflow performance
* Produce technical documentation, visualizations and presentations
* Project management for complex tasks

Your qualifications should include:
Master's degree with 0+ years of experience; or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience
Preferred:
* Familiarity with a health care environment and EHR data
* Familiarity with multimodal data such as genomics and medical images
* Background in deep neural networks and Natural Language Processing (NLP)
* Familiarity with Cloud services platforms like Microsoft Azure

The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
Degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, data science, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines with Python.
You have experience writing complex SQL queries to analyze data.
Window functions and nested subqueries are second nature to you.
You have commendable experience with at least one cloud service platform (GCP and AWS preferred).
You've worked with data at scale using Apache Spark, Beam or a similar framework.
You're familiar with data streaming architectures using technologies like Pub/Sub and Apache Kafka.
You are eager to learn about new tech stacks, big data technologies, data pipelining architectures, etc. and propose your findings to the team to try and optimize our systems.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Strong Python and SQL skills.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $170,000 - $180,000 Remote: $160,000 - $170,000
