Join Collibra's Product Design Team
We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our product design team, focusing on designing intuitive and innovative user experiences for a complex data application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design principles, a deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, and the ability to translate complex data into user-friendly interfaces. Specifically, you'll be joining a growing product organization working on our enterprise SaaS platform and will help the team ensure that it aligns to our global design patterns and meets both user and business needs.
This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh, NC office. Our hybrid model means you'll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.
As a UX Designer you are responsible for
Create intuitive, visually clean interfaces that make managing complex data feel accessible and efficient on our platform
Working with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure designs are both technically feasible and aligned with user needs
Developing wireframes or low and high fidelity prototypes to effectively communicate user flows and functionality.
Clear, concise, and effective communication of your designs to project stakeholders
Utilizing user personas and defining journey maps to guide design processes.
Planning and conducting usability testing sessions and user interviews to gather feedback, then iterate on your designs based on those insights..
Working with developers to ensure implementation of your designs meets our UX standards, remains true to the original designs and utilizes our established design system
Proactively managing your own tasks and deadlines, communicating status and potential blockers to your manager and stakeholders
Actively using and contributing to our design system, ensuring all work is consistent with Collibra's brand and UI patterns
You have
A portfolio of full-lifecycle projects demonstrating your ability to apply UX principles to complex web and desktop applications, delivering goal-centered designs that balance user needs with business impact
Proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira) for task management and collaboration.
Familiarity with SaaS enterprise platforms, data visualization and technical literacy preferred.
A degree in Design, HCI or related field, combined with 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience (or an equivalent blend of education and work history).
You are
Able to work with a wide variety of UX approaches, patterns, and implementation styles
Able to leverage, contribute, and/or influence design system components and visual styles.
Facilitating design critiques and inceptions (workshops).
Experienced at balancing user needs, business goals/ strategy, and technical constraints when making decisions.
Measures of Success
Reporting to Collibra's Director of Product Design, measures of success are
Month 1: Deep dive into onboarding, understanding our products, and getting to know the team
Month 2: Begin contributing to active projects by developing wireframes and prototypes for new features or improvements.
Month 3: Finalize high-fidelity mockups and detailed design specifications for implementation.
Compensation for This Role
The standard rate for this position is $116,000.00 - $145,000.00 per hour. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Hourly rates are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.

Our college interns are offered a collaborative and congenial work environment with an opportunity to work on projects as fully integrated members of our design teams participating in learning sessions focusing on various aspects of delivering a successful project for our clients. Job Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Business or Design Planning Programs or have completed the third year of an undergraduate
* No prior work experience required.
* Excellent presentation, written, verbal and communication skills.
* Possess outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable communicating design concepts and processes.
* Experience in business strategy and workplace planning and design a plus.
* Proficient with software such as AutoCAD, Revit (a plus), Adobe Suite software, Affinity suite software, Visualization. Illustrator; Sketchup, 3D software such as Rhino and Grasshopper, InDesign, PowerPoint, Excel, and other data management software.
