As a Civil Service Agency, all positions open on the WFPD are filled from a list generated by an Entrance Exam. The Entrance Exam is a written test that rates an applicant's reading and writing ability. Minimum Requirements for Physical Fitness Testing
The physical fitness entrance test for the City of Wichita Falls Police Department consists of a 2,000-meter row on a Concept 2 Rower. To successfully pass the Concept 2 Rower test, an applicant is required to complete the 2,000-meter row and achieve a minimum score of 40%, with the difficulty level set to "5". The passing score is determined based on your gender, age, and weight. All row tests will be administered by a certified tester. The beverage server provides ultimate hospitality for guests in a casino environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive. * Answers beverage questions posed by guests.
* Maintains knowledge of beverage menu and any special items being offered.
* Observes guests and anticipates beverage needs and completes all steps of service as assigned.
* Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to casino guests while communicating in a clear and concise manner.
* Accurately records all sales in the POS
* Ensures the quality and presentation meets or exceeds the expectations of the guest.
* Ensures cleanliness of beverage area when necessary.
* Pushes in chairs on the casino floor as well as assists in picking up trash.
* Complies with all alcohol awareness and service policies and procedures with regard to alcohol service.
* Performs proper table maintenance and buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
* Stocks beverage station(s) (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc.) based on anticipated need guest or venue. PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
The Beverage Server must present with a professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment. Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time and be able to lift, pull or push up to 50 lbs. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud during all hours. The environment is also smoke-filled. The workplace is also under constant surveillance both inside and outside the facility.
