DevOps Engineer

Purpose
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work collaboratively with our software engineering team to deploy and operate custom and off-the-shelf software systems, and help in automating and streamlining software development lifecycle (SDLC) operations and processes. You will be required to build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.
Responsibilities
Contributes to software development, from build system automation to automated cloud infrastructure deployment, to support our engineering delivery and ongoing business processes.
Assists in implementing DevOps practices across the organization to enhance our Agile posture.
Develops, deploys, and maintains CI/CD systems for our cloud applications and infrastructure.
Deploys, operates, and maintains third-party software solutions on in-house infrastructure when necessary to comply with requirements or regulations.
Writes Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate sits deployment using industry-standard tools and services.
Provides systems support, including responding to monitoring alerts and troubleshooting cloud-based systems.
Implements and stays abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
Documents automation processes.
Troubleshoots CI/CD infrastructure and processes (disk space, network issues, etc.).
Provides CI/CD pipeline support (troubleshooting, assisting with setup in new projects).
Works closely with the developer team to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements.
Required Qualifications
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, tools, and platforms, and operate them for the benefit of our developer team and other internal customers.
2-4 years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub, including writing, deploying, and automating CI/CD workflows, pipelines, and IaC scripts.
Hands-on experience in continuous delivery and continuous integration of CI/CD pipelines, including different deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, etc.)
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Azure cloud-based systems.
Experience with Azure Repos and/or GitHub, and typical SDLC practices such as branching, code review, and code analysis tools such as SonarQube.
Good knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
Familiarity with REST APIs.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or equivalent work experience.

Works with system level, multi-disciplined engineering projects. Requires limited direction. Makes risk-based decisions, balancing business and compliance issues. Plans and manages assignments of significant scope; directs other engineers. Communicates at all levels of the organization. Writes C# and/or Java code.
Qualifications
GROWTH: The successful candidate may develop relationships with teams and take on leadership roles to plan, guide, and track project efforts.
EDUCATION: BS in Engineering, Computer, or other Science discipline, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years with BS or MS. Required experience: C# or Java experience Test automation and management tools MS/VS Test, nUnit, JUnit, IntelliJ, Spring Framework, Cucumber-JVM and/or SpecFlow.
Preferred experience:
Disciplined, regulated industries, medical device experience preferred, including FDA s 21 CFR 820/ISO 13485 experience. Software development using ISO 62304 or equivalent. Risk Management using IEC 14971 and IEC 60601 or equivalent.
Experience testing on IOS and Android operating systems. Experience working with Agile methodologies. WCF Web services
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical Requirements: Sedentary desk/office job with frequent lifting of up to 10 pounds; requires physical skills to operate computer and other mechanical/electrical equipment.
