YOU WILL:
Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains etc using recipes as a guide and taste buds for validation.
Gain exposure to different stations within the DIG kitchen including but not limited to garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout.
Speak to current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests - making their day as you provide them with a delicious scratch-made meal (aka: marketbowl).
Work to support the team during peak and off peak service, by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
Multi-task and move in the kitchen for extended periods of time. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
Help to maintain the “A” lettergrade by following Department of Health and DIG food safety standards.

Working as a Catering Manager, you are responsible for Catering and Events in a corporate dining conference center. You will manage a team of staff. You will be responsible for managing client relations, along with ensuring the catering offered to our guests is of superior quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates and oversees internal events
Develops and maintains the catering marketing plan including a comprehensive event planning service to clients and detailed menu development
Hires, trains, and schedules catering staff, and will be actively involved in the development of existing catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures
Ensures successful operations of catering functions including labor cost control, foods cost control and preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and cleanup of all events
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required in Hospitality or Culinary ArtsMinimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality industry including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required
Booking, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key
Ability to supervise food preparation, service and cleanup is also essential

Job Summary
As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Catering Department in all duties including training new associates, overseeing event set-ups, and directing any temporary personnel in addition to their everyday assignments. You will ensure proper service to clients during events, including proper set-up, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.
As a member of the Ace Team you will be responsible for supporting and/or managing Flik accounts. Being based in New York City, you will mainly support units in the Tri-State region. Additionally, you will be assigned to support non-local Flik locations requiring up to 25% travel. Ace schedules vary each week based on business needs. The majority of the assignments fall between Monday through Friday. There will be periodic evening, weekend and holiday assignments given with advance notice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises all catering events.
Involved in catering events operations, including logistics, quality improvement, sanitation, and all facility-related activities.
Works with the Chef in creating menus.
Trains catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
Tracks and monitors the labor and food cost for each event.
Communicates on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels; maintains excellent client relationships.
Assists in the responsibility for all foodservice-related activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2 years of food service experience including 1 year at the management level.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
Catering experience is required.
Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
ServSafe Certification.

Responsibilities
The Senior Culinary Manager (SCM) is the lead culinary professional at Future Chefs, responsible for ensuring the quality and impact of all culinary programming. This role combines hands-on teaching with youth, coaching and supporting culinary staff, and collaborating with the program team on youth-led culinary enterprises and events.
The Senior Culinary Manager supervises the Culinary Team, serving as a mentor, sounding board, and resource for program delivery. Culinary Education & Youth Development
Directly deliver Future Chefs' culinary curriculum to youth participants, leading hands-on instruction in the teaching kitchen.
Actively coach and mentor young people during daily programming, modeling professional kitchen standards, teamwork, and a work-readiness mindset.
Train, support, and observe culinary instructors to strengthen their curriculum delivery and instructional practices.
Collaborate with Program Staff to assess youth skills, share progress updates, and reinforce coaching and career exploration goals.

Kitchen Operations & Food Production
