SUMMARY The Team Lead DSP position involves lead responsibilities in Community Integrated Living Arranged (CILA) homes. They maintain the activity schedules, safety checks, house documentation, grocery shopping, cleaning, and assist their reporting manager with other duties to maintain daily operations of the CILA. Assist the reporting manager with filling shifts. Administer medications and document all related activities in accordance with related Medication Policies and Procedures. Complete and/or assist all housekeeping tasks including cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, and client rooms; washing dishes/ doing laundry; dusting surfaces; cleaning refrigerator/stove, and all other duties assigned by manager(s) and director. Report and document issues with clients regarding overall heath, medication, dental and mental health concerns to manager(s) and/or the agency nurse. Implements dynamic, person-centered client programming across multiple domains, including but not limited to independent living skills, social/emotional development, communication, problem-solving, vocational development, and safety. Assists in planning and directly implementing ongoing community-based activities for all clients, in accordance with individual client goals and preferences. Ensures timely completion of all client paperwork. Ensures adherence to all mandated reporter, OIG guidelines, and DHS guidelines. Implements positive and proactive behavior management techniques and interventions as identified in clients' behavior intervention plans. Collaborates with co-workers (shift-to-shift) and/or manager(s) regarding clients' needs and concerns daily. Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe work environment. Participates in all required on- and off-site training upon hire and as routinely required. Fees The base rate paid to a house-sitter for each night of house-sitting is $32.50 for one dog and goes up from there depending on client surcharges. There are extra fees given to the house-sitter for additional animals in the home, extra visits scheduled during the daytime, and for holidays. (Potential gratuity from clients is not reflected in this rate.) Scheduling House-sitting jobs last anywhere from 1 night to 2 weeks. House-sitters typically will take one booking per month. They may take on more bookings depending on their availability and client requests. House-sitters are independent contractors with Heaven Sent and are offered client "bookings" as clients schedule vacation care with us. House-sitters work on an "as-needed" basis and accept or reject each booking on an individual basis. Holidays Our preference is that house-sitters are available for at least 2 out of 3 of our busiest holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, Spring Break). There is an extra surcharge paid to sitters for holiday work. Qualifications Qualifications Background & References: You need to be at least 21 years old , able to pass a background/criminal check, and have at least 3 references. Supplies & Equipment: You need to have: (1) a reliable car, (2) a computer/laptop/tablet with access to the internet, (3) a printer or access to one (4) a smartphone Location: We are most interested in candidates who live in or around our service areas in Evanston, Wilmette, or Kenilworth. And of course, we expect that you love animals! Working with animals can be an extremely rewarding and fun job and we are looking for candidates whose priority is providing quality care to our furry clients and their owners. You don't have to have any professional animal work experience, but we find it helpful if you've had pets of your own before. Is this a good fit for you? Are team players who can handle last-minute changes and requests from clients. Are self-starters able to work independently and responsibly. Enjoy dog-walking outside in all four seasons and the weather that comes with them! (Rain, snow, heat, cold, wind...) Can make at least a 6-month commitment to working with us.
