Key Responsibilities:

Nemours is seeking a Full Time Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider to join our Emergency Services Team in Florida! This position will focus on working in our Urgent Care locations in the Orlando area.
Nemours Children's urgent care services treat nonlife-threatening illnesses and injuries in children from newborns to age 18. We offer three locations throughout the Orlando area including our offices in Kissimmee, Waterford Lakes and Lake Nona.
Key Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with other members of the team to obtain history and perform physical examinations to assess and treat acute injuries and illnesses.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable practicing independently with physicians available via phone for consultations
Provides preliminary interpretation of x-ray with radiology over-read.
Obtains and interprets appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities
Provides health care teaching and counseling regarding presenting complaints.
Provides minor laceration repair with an adhesive or sutures; removes staples and sutures.
Maintains health records in EHR (Epic).

Job duties also include documenting daily in our Electronic Health Records system, learning all policies and procedures of the agency, implementing policies and procedures of the program, and all other additional program related tasks. Qualifications and Competencies:
Interested individuals must be patient, dedicated, reliable, mature and committed team-players with a strong desire to change the lives of individuals living with the disease of addiction and struggling with mental health issues.
Must be teachable and have ability to work under stress, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
At least 6 months experience working with individuals in Recovery is highly desired, or experience working with individuals with other behavioral health issues.
Attention to detail and good communication skills are essential. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, as well as be able to bend, squat and get up and down from off the floor, all with ease.
Bachelor's degree is preferred
