Driver & Operations Support:
Adjust operator names in Trapeze under the run tab for the day.
Correct route errors and edit trips as needed.
Continuously scan routes to schedule lunch breaks.
Contact operators scheduled for overtime for the following day.
Monitor driver sign-in sheets and uniform compliance throughout the day.
Assist drivers in locating destinations.
Communication & Incident Handling:
Answer and manage incoming calls professionally.
Ensure proper use of radio communication and 10-codes.
Handle all accidents and incidents properly and promptly.
Document all driver callouts (early/late starts and finishes).
Administrative & Compliance Tasks:
Scan and email all manifests to management daily.
Send timesheets to payroll daily.
Manage the cash mobility report.
Print manifests for the next day.
Prepare on-time compliance reports at 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
Shifts Available:
Mid-Day Shift (Option 1): 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Mid-Day Shift (Option 2): 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Closing Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:40 AM
Training Schedule (6 Weeks):
Weeks 1 & 2: Morning Shift (2:40 AM - 10:00 AM)
Weeks 3 & 4: Mid-Day Shift (Choose between 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Weeks 5 & 6: Closing Shift (4:00 PM - 2:40 AM)
This structured training program ensures new team members are fully trained on all shifts and prepared for any scheduling needs.

The Dispatch Coordinator position is responsible for Driver dispatch operations in the Transportation Department.

What you'll do as a Dispatch Coordinator\:
Prepare daily records and memos and maintain filing system for Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Complete transportation pouches including route manifests, invoices, special customer notifications, maps and stores keys for drivers.
Develop and update driver and helper dispatch schedule daily.
Understand DOT hours of service and ensure driver compliance.
Set up daily tractor/trailer assignment for drivers.
Verify roadworthiness and keep maintenance records for tractors and trailers.
Call customers to inform them of variances in delivery times.
Expedite driver manifests and highlight keys.
Provide timely reports to immediate supervisor as requested.
Possess very strong interpersonal skills and be able to discuss dispatch issues with Driver Specialists, Customers and managers.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Dispatch Coordinator Teammate\:
High School Diploma.
Knowledge of mainframe computer software (PeopleSoft) relating to record keeping/scheduling for drivers and helpers.
Preferred experience in Windows environment and on Excel, Microsoft Word, and Access programs; or similar programs.
Have 2 years in similar function (preferred).
Map reading abilities.
Understanding of distribution systems.
Ability to communicate in various methods with different levels.
Mathematical ability for maintaining schedules.
Understanding of dispatch issues and procedures.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Public Safety Dispatcher displays analytical and organizational skills necessary to receive, evaluate, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance.
Utilizes effective communication through verbal and typing skills to maintain efficient operations and respond to police and security situations.
Exhibits technological competency to utilize complex telecommunications, alarms, and computer systems.
Answer, evaluate, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance to Police and Public Safety Officers.
Monitor and process calls from large number of incoming telephone lines, intercom lines, emergency call boxes and alarms.
Monitor complex system of alarms, computerized access control, and CCTV.
Must remain calm and focused during life and death incidents to ensure Police, Security, and Medical response is appropriate and complete.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Two (2) years of customer service/telecommunications, military, law enforcement or security experience required.
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Additional training beyond high school preferred.
APCO, IAHSS or related certification desired.
