Supervisor position within the The Division of Clinical Core Laboratory Services (CCLS), a vital 24/7 laboratory at Mayo Clinic Rochester that provides both routine and priority automated testing of blood and body fluid specimens.
HCL is a 24/7 operation providing STAT testing across multiple platforms and specimen types collected from various Mayo Clinic Rochester locations, supporting essential clinical areas such as the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and surgical operations, as well as laboratory needs within SMC-OR, RMC/OR, Point-of-Care (POC), the High-Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID) Laboratory, and the Kasson Clinic, while contributing to upcoming Bold Forward Unbound initiatives.
This co-supervisory role partners closely with another HCL Supervisor to provide joint leadership for daily operations, staff development, and workflow oversight. Together, they ensure the laboratory functions efficiently, maintains regulatory and quality standards, and continues to deliver timely, accurate testing to support patient care. As part of the CCLS leadership team, the Supervisor helps uphold the division's high standards of service, innovation, and operational excellence.
As a key leader within the Clinical Core Laboratory Services (CCLS) division, the Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing personnel, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. This position works in close partnership with other supervisors across the division to ensure seamless operations, consistent practices, and high-quality service delivery.
The role also plays a critical part in driving continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing workflow efficiency, and maintaining the lab's high standards of service and operational excellence.
