Embark on a fulfilling career at BNSF Railway, where joining our Engineering Department means contributing to the backbone of our nation's rail infrastructure. As a member of our Track Maintenance Team, you'll play a vital role in constructing, inspecting, and repairing tracks and other railroad assets and maintaining our railway corridors.
This is a full-time (40hrs/wk) position and is subject to on-call, overtime, nights, alternating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Travel is required to (and remain at) job sites for extended periods, sometimes for days or weeks at a time, in the designated seniority region.
Training for this position is company-paid on-the-job and classroom training and will include travel to the BNSF Training Center.
Key responsibilities may include:
Track maintenance repair and installation; repair and rebuild railroad track as well as perform maintenance by pulling spikes, cutting, welding, or drilling rail. This also includes maintaining a clean right of way by removing hazards such as brush, trees, vegetation, litter, and cargo spillage.
Maintain trackbed which includes manually compressing ballast, remove/install ties and replacing, cutting, and adjusting rail in addition to lifting and carrying materials with assistance.
Operate equipment - power hand tools such as electric, pneumatic or hydraulic tools (drills, impact wrenches, jacks, power saws and grinders) as well as non-powered hand tools and shovels, picks, saws, and grinders.
Daily work is conducted in a safety sensitive environment where the working conditions can include diverse and extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet), walking and performing work on uneven surfaces, working around loud noises, fumes, and heavy/moving machinery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.
Conduct nursing assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and evaluations in line with ANA's Public Health Nursing Standards.
Arrange and lead community health clinics and health education classes.
Support public health core functions, prioritizing services that meet community needs.
Administer adult and child vaccines, provide STI/HIV testing, manage TB testing, and more.
Provide Ryan White case management, maternal and child home visitation, lactation counseling, and LT-101 reviews.
Collaborate with the nurse manager and public health response coordinator on emergency preparedness activities.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
**A valid driver's license is required.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, and techniques of professional nursing.
Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
Knowledge of principles of nursing process and scientific process.
Knowledge of applying medical diagnosis and treatment to patient care.
Knowledge of scientific concepts is a basis for decision-making.
Knowledge of evaluation services and programs according to standards.
Knowledge of work management and leadership theory, and practice.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
Knowledge of public health core functions and essential services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate's Degree in Nursing
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
3-5 years of progressive work experience in Nursing with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WyomingNecessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to:
Lift/transfer patients to different positions.
Lift medical/patient equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about 50 lbs.
Restrain clients for treatments, climb stairs to patient homes, and drive long distances.
Travel throughout the state and to national conferences if requested.
Work evenings, nights, and /or weekends when the situation requires it.

As a condition of employment, the successful applicant will be required to execute a release of personnel records to the director/board/commissioners in the county area involved on an as-needed basis. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to complete an Employee Health Assessment, which includes verification of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases. If found to be non-immune, vaccination will be required unless medically contraindicated. Yearly influenza vaccination is also required, unless medically contraindicated. A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant. This position is located in the Public Health Nursing Section.

Current state employees accepting a promotional opportunity - recruitment must have been open to the public
One year of service in the position must be completed. Failure to complete this requirement will require reimbursement of the bonus with the funds deducted from the final pay.
Internal candidates will be required to remain in the position for a minimum of (1) year from the promotion date.
Employees will only be eligible for (1) hiring bonus in 12 months.
