POSITION SUMMARY
Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Assure each day's activities and problems that occur are communicated to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Display thorough knowledge of building systems, emergency response, and building documentation including reading standard blue prints and electrical schematics concerning plumbing and HVAC. Display advanced engineering operations skills and general mechanical ability. Display professional journeyman level expertise in at least three of the following areas with basic skills in the remaining: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, mechanical, general building management, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, and/or energy conservation. Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision. Perform routine inspections of the entire property, noting safety hazards, lack of illumination, down equipment (such as ice makers, fans, extractors, pumps), and take immediate corrective action. Inspect and repair all mechanical equipment including, but not limited to: appliances, HVAC, electrical and plumbing components, diagnose and repair of boilers, pumps and related components. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Display thorough knowledge of maintenance contracts and vendors. Display advanced knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. Display the ability to train and mentor other engineers (e.g., Engineers I, II, and III) as necessary and supervise work in progress and act in a supervisory role in the absence of supervisors and/or management. Display ability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance. Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Certificate in two-year technical diploma program for HVAC/refrigeration.
Related Work Experience: Extensive experience and training in general maintenance (advanced repairs), electrical or refrigeration,
exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License or Certification: Valid Driver's License
License or certification in refrigeration or electrical
(earned, or currently working towards receiving)
Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification

Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Senior Principal Telecommunication Engineer role specializing in Offshore Communication Systems shall be to serve as a Subject Matter Expert for offshore and marine communication systems supporting complex Oil & Gas production facilities, drilling platforms, FPSOs, and marine environments. This role provides technical leadership during all phases of design and supports construction and commissioning activities. The successful candidate will lead the engineering of critical communication, navigation, and safety systems including but not limited to 2-way radio, satellite communications, WIMAX, ship-to-shore links, GMDSS, meteorological system, lifeboat communication system, gyrocompass system, etc., ensuring safe, compliant and reliable operations in offshore environments.
This is a full-time hybrid position based at a Worley office in the United States\: Houston, Texas or Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Other locations across the US and Canada will be considered.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Technical Leadership & Subject Matter Expertise:
Lead the engineering design and integration of Offshore Communication Systems such as:
Marine & Navigation Systems\: GMDSS, lifeboat comms, marine vessel tracking, offloading vessel position, RACON, ship collision avoidance radar.
Voice and Data Comms Systems: 2-way radio, VoIP, hotline telephone, Ship-to-shore link, MODU RF ESD System, VHF/UHF, WIMAX.
Monitoring & Wellfare: Meteorological and automatic weather observation systems, gyrocompass, helicopter monitoring, entertainment TV.
Core Comms Infrastructure\: Fiber optic/ Structured Cabling, WAN/LAN/WLAN, GEO/LEO satellite, VSAT.
Safety & Security Systems\: PAGA, access control and CCTV, intercoms, lifeboat comms.
Pre-FEED / FEED and Detailed Design:
Define high-level architecture/topologies, block diagrams and physical infrastructure requirements.
Develop basis of design, project philosophies and technology roadmaps.
Estimate telecom infrastructure quantities, space and power requirements and development of associated reports.
Produce engineering deliverables including design criteria and specifications, FEED-Level location layouts and cable routing plans, cabinet layouts, equipment room layouts, coverage studies and load list.
Develop bill of materials, material take-offs and technical input to TIC Cost Estimates.
Participate in Risk Assessments.
Identify and coordinate connectivity requirements with Automation, Electrical, IT and other networks.
Develop FEED Reports.
Lead the development of IFC drawing packages including device location and cable routing layouts, schematics, termination diagrams, system wiring diagrams, cabinet details, floor plans, installation details, cable schedules, EWPs, CWPs, Vendor scope of work and material requisitions, etc.
Review vendor documents and coordinate the development of vendor packages.
Ensure constructability, maintainability and operability in all deliverables.
Multi-Discipline Coordination and Procurement Support:
Interface with various project teams internal and external (Automation, Electrical, IT, Operations, Safety, etc.) to ensure alignment of Telecom infrastructure requirements and integration.
Provide technical guidance to project managers, designers, drafters and junior engineers.
Resolve engineering issues with stakeholders across client, vendor, EPC and construction contractors.
Prepare and evaluate technical specifications, datasheets and material requisitions for telecom systems.
Review vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Perform technical bid evaluations.
Lead or participate in FATs, SATs, and inspections when required.
Construction and Commissioning Support:
Provide technical assistance during construction and respond to RFIs.
Review contractor installation procedures and test plans.
Support commissioning team with system turn-up, testing and validation documentation.

About the role:
The Tech Lead role will be accountable for development, and delivery for both traditional on-premises and cloud-based applications for a major business area. The Tech Lead will provide technical guidance for design, development, and automation across all projects including cloud and on-premises, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions and associated artefacts that meet the requirements of each project.
About the Team:
This role is with our Fraud & Disputes Engineering team and is comprised of colleagues around the globe supporting both on-prem and cloud based solutions for our clients.
What you will be doing:
Provide technical leadership for teams of developers.
Provide strong technical leadership in on-prem and cloud-based software architecture and scalable API designs.
Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
Ensure enforcement of IT standards and chosen Technology Stack
Acting as point of contact and escalation on production issues across several business-critical applications.
Design and develop key application components as microservices by adapting the Twelve-Factor Application Methodology using Spring Boot, Java, and RESTful architecture.
Design and develop Single Page Applications using AngularJS.
Develop and maintain Enterprise Java Batch application using JSR specification and schedule java batch jobs using Kubernetes scheduler.
Design and develop apps with high throughput and low latency applying load balancing, caching, threading etc.
Have a strong familiarity with source code management and continuous integration/delivery processes and tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus.
Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
Write code, complete programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
Establish and document development and testing best practices.
What you bring:
Multiple year of experience design and Programming skills in JEE technologies including Spring Framework (IoC, MVC, Transactions, Security, and Batch), Spring Boot, Spring JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, SOAP/RESTful, XML, DB2, Tomcat and EDA solutions such as Kafka/ MQ.
Object-oriented and service-oriented design concepts, including knowledge of data transfer objects and associated design patterns.
Experience working with cloud computing strategies and architecture (Kubernetes, AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, Dynamo DB, API gateway, SQS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM roles/polices etc.)
Experience in implementing Micro services Architecture & building / deploying highly automated, scalable, and maintainable infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as Ionic, AngularJS.
Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, JQuery, Ajax, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
Experience in container-based development (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with modern software development tools for Continuous Integration including Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Jira, Nexus, Maven, Jenkins, SonarQube.
Experience with Automated unit test (Unit, Mocking frameworks), Test Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior-driven development (BDD) (Cucumber).
Knowledge of security vulnerabilities in web applications and experience addressing them.
Experience working on Agile projects and strong knowledge of Agile process & terminology.
Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Amazon Web Services (AWS) development, Kubernetes, Docker, Angular, Javascript, Web Services, and Agile Development
