Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) - Engineering Intern
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Receives general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent or Bachelors' Degree in Civil Engineering
Qualifications:
Must also currently have or be willing to obtain the following certifications, as a minimum, within twelve (12) months of hire:
Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT's) Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP)
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
CTQP Final Estimates Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
Certifications:
International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
Nuclear Radiation Safety
Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for inspectors and contractors
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Driver's license required.
Able to read engineering drawings and system maps.
Able to understand and follow contractor schedules.
Able to carry 40 pounds (testing equipment).
Able to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, periodic weekend and night work may be required.
Able to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
• Prepares and reviews accounting statements on behalf of clients.
• Assists in working with auditors and clients to ensure statements are accurately produced and verified on a timely basis.
• Reviews fund balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of shareholders equity to ensure reported numbers are reconciled.
• Drafts accounting statements and reports, incorporating fund calculations, for clients to review fund performance.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of disclosure and that financial reports meet Corporate and applicable regulatory standards.
• Assists in collaborating with auditors and clients to make changes to financial reports and ensure they accurately depict fund performance.
• Assists in developing materials for presentation to Board of Directors.
• Escalates more complex accounting discrepancies to senior team members.
• Provides guidance to less experienced team members and may have people management responsibilities in some geographies.
• Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Project Management
Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work.
Works closely with senior-level Project Managers to deliver assignments that meet client requirements and expectations.
Engineering
Engineer of Record where needed.
Makes design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications. Performs calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
Prepares reports and correspondence.
Serves as a technical advisor to junior-level project team members.
Business Development (BD)
Maintains positive relationship with current and past clients.
Active marketing of projects including client meetings, proposals and presentations; contributions to social media and intranet posts.
Pursuits: Seeks potential BD opportunities and prepares a Win Plan for each pursuit. Leads pursuits. Contributes to write-ups. Works within the pursuit budget to secure wins to meet assigned BD goals.
EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
