Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
Proficiency in medium-to-low power circuit topologies, principles of power electronic converters, and semiconductor devices.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
Hands-on experience with PCB design and layout.
Knowledge of electronic design practices for EMC compliance.
Strong analytical skills combined with excellent problem-solving abilities and interpersonal communication.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control and Assurance

Project Planning and Scheduling
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Create and manage project schedules using appropriate scheduling tools
Monitor project progress against established timelines and milestones, making adjustments as needed.
Forecast resource needs and ensure optimal utilization of personnel and equipment.
Risk Management and Compliance
Identify potential project risks (technical, financial, regulatory, safety) and develop mitigation strategies.
Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with internal departments to ensure integrated project delivery.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as owners, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

Contracts and Vendor Management
Assist in the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and contract documents.
Review and understand project contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Manage and oversee the performance of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards.
Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend selections based on technical capabilities and cost-effectiveness.
Business Development
Identify and pursue new project opportunities through existing client relationships and networking.
Contribute to the preparation of proposals and presentations to secure new business.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations.
Stay informed about market trends and clients need to identify areas for growth.

This position works closely with other engineers, project managers, and Client team members in support of both capital and operational improvement projects.
This position requires implementing sound engineering principles to ensure project designs are safe and at the industry's cutting edge. An ability to work independently, self-motivate, and communicate effectively with team members is of the utmost importance to this position.

Primary Responsibilities
* Creates Programmable Logical Control (PLC) programs and HMI applications from User Requirements or Functional Specifications
* Performs loop checks and basic control system checkout tasks.

Experience

* Industrial electrical design experience in the following industries preferred: Consumer Goods, Renewable Energy; Gas Processing, Chemical, Power, Waste Management or Pharmaceutical.
Education
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent experience is required.
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale.
Qualifications
* Interest and experience with computer programming are highly preferred.
* Exposure to electrical design and calculations.
* Exposure to PLC logic, HMI interface logic, system communications, elementary diagrams, control panel layouts or instrument specifications is preferred.
* Engineer in Training (EIT) registration or ability to obtain such is highly preferred.
* Willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
