Job Description
We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UNSY 307- Uncrewed Systems Networking.
Course Description
Information technology, communications, and frequency spectrum used in conjunction with uncrewed systems around the world. Explore signal processing, communications, interfaces, data links/exchange, FCC regulations, interoperability, and communication standards and protocols associated with robotic systems. Tools and methods used to support development, configuration, and application of uncrewed systems individual and networked operations through communication and information processing of signals and data.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except
California
. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. Qualifications
Desired Professional Training or Experience
Experience at a Military / Civilian organization operating unmanned and/or robotic systems. Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, or other organizations in fields related to development, testing, operation, training, or maintenance of unmanned and robotic systems and related information/communication technology.
Applicable Professional Certification
Rated/certified military operations or maintenance officer or civil equivalent for unmanned systems/robots or any professional certification related to unmanned systems operation or maintenance. FCC certification or any professional certification related to information/communication technology.

The specific focus of this search is to expand the collaboration with the faculty in structural and geotechnical engineering. Applicants with significant overlap with the current faculty expertise (ex, focus on wind tunnel testing or focus on structural mechanics rather than fluid mechanics) will not be competitive.
The candidate must show evidence of research and collaboration in fluid-structure interaction such as wind-structure or wave-structure interactions. We are especially interested in a candidate with an interdisciplinary background and research experience. Example areas of interest include but not limited to:
* CFD simulations of wind or wave effects on structures

Created by the Florida Legislature in 1982, the joint institution is the college of engineering for both Florida A&M and Florida State universities. After completing per-requisites at their home institution, FAMU and FSU students learn, study and research together at our independent campus with joint-appointed faculty and staff. Students graduate from their enrolling university and from the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering. Both FAMU and FSU are part of the State University System of Florida and are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The Art Therapy Master's Program, beginning in the 1980's, is a three-year, two-summer program. It was initially approved by the American Art Therapy Association in 2004 and became accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in January 2019. It is the only graduate level art therapy program in the state of Florida, and the only one housed in a state university in the Southeast region. The master's art therapy program has a highly competitive acceptance rate and attracts students from all over the world.

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.
Florida Tech's 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.
The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UNSY 318- Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Robotics.
Course Description
Integrating robotic technology into the hardware and software regimes of uncrewed aviation. Examinations of control and system programming in the context of specific missions through guided discussions, simulation and the operation of actual uncrewed aircraft robotic systems.
Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except
California
. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.
If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.
Qualifications
Desired Professional Training or Experience
Experience at a Military / Civilian organization operating unmanned aviation systems. Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, Aircraft Designer, Robotics, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, or other field related to the development, testing, operation, training, integration, or maintenance hardware and software systems of UASs or robotic systems related to UAS operations.
Applicable Professional Certification
Rated Military Flight Officer or FAA Certified Airman or any professional certification related to unmanned aerial systems operations.
