Job Description
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares perioperative patient bays for patient care, including but not limited to donning linens to stretchers and recliners or operative beds
Assists with perioperative room turnover, cleaning, patient positioning, obtaining supplies/equipment and patient transportation for discharge.
Assists in operating room turnovers, including the restocking of anesthesia supplies
Obtains vital signs and Point of Care (POC) testing as delegated by RN, and is responsible for quality control for POC testing
Documents in the electronic medical record (EMR), as needed including but not limited to scanning documents and opening new medical records.
Assists in maintaining adequate inventory of all areas of the ASC, including unboxing and restocking of supplies, and monitoring expiration dates
Maintains and organizes linen inventory, transfers soiled linen to the designated area.
Assists in routine unit operations as directed/needed to assure smooth communication and functioning of the unit.
Follows universal precautions.
Completes incident reports per policy.
Cross trained to other specialties performed within the department including but not limited to covering in patient reception and the sterilization of instruments.
Maintains unit training requirements and attends staff meetings
Applies principles of infection control and safety, including proper handling, cleaning, and or disposal of equipment/supplies used in all cases.
Adheres to all InterMed and ASC policies and procedures.
Maintains strict confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) guidelines and InterMed policies.
Perform other duties to support the mission, vision and values of InterMed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Education:
High school graduate or GED equivalent
License/Certifications:
Active unencumbered Maine Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Current BLS certification required.
Experience:
At least one year of CNA experience is required; previous experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center setting preferred.
Ability to differentiate between clean, contaminated, and sterile areas.

Roles & Responsibilities:
EMT Supervisors in the coordination of the park's overall safety, and EMS Response. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards and all policies/procedures established by Herschend. · Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
· Maintain accurate documentation for patient care and condition, for all emergencymedical treatments provided
· Ensure EMS call and treatment documentation is sent to the appropriate receiving hospital/medical facility
· Communicate with other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services
· Assist with routine maintenance, inventory, cleanliness, and readiness of First Aid Office; inspect other equipment for functionality and keep the office organized.

Education & Experience:

What you will do
Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.
Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of Radioactive Isotopes in specific body areas and body products.
Performs all hot lab responsibilities.
Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
Provide and issue films when appropriate.
Forward PET related data to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
Refilm cases as time allows
Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
Required Qualifications
What you need:
Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which he/she is employed to work
Must be certified in CPR
Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
A minimum of one-year prior nuclear medicine experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient in starting IVs.
Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
Additional :
Pay range for this position is $40 - $60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
