Role Responsibilities
Assist in the design and production of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, piping, and other related mechanical components.
Create and revise AutoCAD and/or Revit drawings, 3D models, and construction documents under the guidance of senior staff.
Support engineers with calculations, equipment selection, and basic system layouts.
Help prepare project deliverables such as plans, specifications, and reports.

Participate in site visits to document existing conditions (with team guidance).

Our Tampa location is our newest addition to the SESCO Cement locations. With the terminal being in the construction phase, you will be part of the ground up growth of the terminal as it is moves towards completion. Once operational, you will work to continually improve the site through other projects as needed.
Responsibilities
This role will be heavily active in the field during the construction phase of a project, coordinating with subcontractors and crews, verifying quality of work, answering engineering questions and/or resolving issues that may pop up in real time.
Assist in development of project plan as requested. Specifically, provide support to Project Manager(s) through helping to develop business cases by gathering requirements, building investment decision models, etc.
Collaborate with the Project Manager(s) in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
Prepare and forward submittals. Confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
Administer subcontracts as assigned.
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings.
Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
Aid in close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors.
Act as the point person for document management applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 1-4 years of experience in the related field.
Working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and prepare them when applicable.
Ability to read and understand Project financial documents and budgets and prepare them when applicable.

4. Provide technical support and solutions to Tampa Electric Company customers on all issues concerning revenue metering and sub-metering.
5. Work with the Senior Engineer and/or Manager of Meter Operations to ensure compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards as they relate to metering equipment by:
a. Ensuring evidence is up-to-date
b. Updating Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets as needed.

Support the Senior Engineer with metering standards and specifications as the company moves to AMI and on the metering of the company's renewable energy programs by reviewing work requests and interconnection agreements to ensure compliance with applicable Tampa Electric Company Retail Tariffs and Standard Electrical System Requirements.

The Engineering Technician (Carpenter) is responsible for the routine maintenance and repair of exhibit interactives, signage, lighting, and other display elements. Key responsibilities include assisting the Exhibit and Life-Support Engineering (LSE) team with exhibit fabrication and installation, as well as working with other team members on regular exhibit upkeep tasks. The technician will also be accountable for maintaining all building surfaces such as plaster, drywall, millwork, and carpentry, and may be assigned to maintenance or life-support system projects as needed. The ideal candidate must have the ability to fabricate and repair acrylic, frame both metal and wood stud walls, and accurately read and interpret blueprints.
Essential Position Functions
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing building facilities, Life-Support systems, exhibits and associated interactives as directed by management
Meet with the LSE management to coordinate daily work schedules
Conduct routine preventative maintenance of exhibit interactive's, display devices, and interpretive signage
