Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Quality Technician. The hourly rate for this position is $23.82 per hour. There is a pay increase at 45 days and 90 days. The hours are Tuesday through Friday from 8:00am until 6:30 pm. Environmental Technician June 2022 Supervisor's Title: Food Safety Manager Reports to: Food Safety Manager Department: QA Exempt Status: Non-Exempt - Hourly Work Schedule: Shift Work The Environmental Technician is responsible for the accurate performance of gathering samples, performing periodic compliance inspections, and performing environmental related activities in accordance with Panhandle Products procedures and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions Collect all EMP (Environmental Monitoring Program) samples, both swabs and air, according to schedule and SOP. Collect ATP Environmental swabs and perform ATP testing per schedule. Prepare samples collected for shipment and create Sample Anaylsis Request Forms (SARFs). Review all PC (Preventative Control) records for product release (HTST charts, MD charts, etc.) Communicate needed corrections on PC records appropriately and document corrective action. Job Description Monitors plant operations of compliance with regulatory and company requirements in the Harvest Dept. QA will be responsible for paperwork he/she is assigned. Tech will monitor area from pre-wash up until gut table. They will assure that tags are in place where is needed (black, red, yellow tags). At each break, they will change out SRM sterilizers and make sure that any contact area is cleaned at each break. Tech will also check equipment after each break. Acts as liaison to USDA regulators. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Performing environmental sampling of equipment, drains, and raw and finished products. Calibration of thermometers and scales on a daily basis. Monitor sanitation standard operating procedures and document SSOP's in accordance with the companies program. Monitoring and documenting the quality of packaging, raw materials, and finished products. Monitoring foreign material detection and rejection. Monitoring and recording weights of finished products. Taking raw and finished product temperatures. Monitor physical, chemical, and sensory characteristics of raw and finished products. Generating and completing the required records and documentation on a daily basis for each product line in accordance to the customer's specifications. Perform HACCP monitoring and verification for all critical control points of the company's HACCP programs. Working alongside USDA and production employees. Monitor and ensure food security and safety. Qualifications H.S. diploma Good Work History - Beef industry experience a must - QA in food processing a plus Be able to possess basic math and computer skills, and be able to read and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs.
