The LDAR Inventory Projects Technician position performs activities related to LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) component inventory projects. The project may consist of multiple tasks to initiate, modify, or validate the facilities' current component inventory of the LDAR program. Tasks associated with this position provide various clients with regulatory compliance services related to facility environmental programs. Essential Functions * Understanding of EPA Method 21 including inspection techniques and instrument calibration * Ability to identify various process equipment (valves, pumps, compressors, flanges, piping connections, etc.) * Accurately and completely perform administrative duties, including recordkeeping documentation and forms, submitting receipts, and completing daily timesheets * Become proficient in project field responsibilities including reviewing Pipe and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), flag process lines/equipment, affix physical component inventory tags, and accurately document component information required. * Ability to perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) of work and upholding set company standards * Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements related to project facility * Ability to functionally utilize, maintain, and troubleshoot project specific equipment including Toxic Vapor Analyzers (TVA's), electronic data logging devices and computers * Reporting Open Ended Lines (OEL), Audible Visual and Olfactory (AVO) emissions, damage, or hazards to appropriate site-specific personnel * Ability to successfully complete and maintain required safety and site-specific training and accreditations. * Incorporate safety into daily work activities, utilize all required safety personal protection equipment and perform safety inspections/audits as required * Maintains cleanliness of company property, including office, vehicle, and other work areas * Aid other company projects as needed and/or perform other job-related duties as assigned. Testing instruments, data logger, hand tools, and miscellaneous equipment are typically carried in a backpack. * The work involves ascending stairs, climbing vertical ladders, and working from elevated heights, heights may exceed 300 feet, (wearing personal fall protection when required) with equipment described above. * All outdoor work is performed wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes, but is not limited to, a hardhat, fire retardant coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety boots, and a 5-point safety harness (when required). Cassidy, Inc., we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier electrical systems and solutions for a wide range of industries. We are seeking an experienced and skilled High Voltage Testing Technician to join our team. This role will focus on substation relay and apparatus testing. Ensuring electrical power systems are safely and efficiently commissioned. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing, and troubleshooting electrical power systems. The position requires a willingness to travel extensively to support projects across the country. What You'll Do Responsible for the testing of electrical equipment in substations, including protection relays, RTUs, breakers, and transformers. Conduct functional testing of relays, RTUs, and other protection equipment to verify proper operation and integration into the system. Review project electrical drawings and relay settings to ensure all components are ready for commissioning. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Proactively resolve issues related to insufficient equipment and site materials to avoid delays and ensure smooth project execution. Perform visual inspections and equipment checkouts, including the necessary electrical tests, to confirm equipment is installed and functioning correctly. Maintain documentation and records of testing and commissioning activities. Maintain a safety-first mindset and ensure all safety protocols are followed. Execute pre-energization safety checks, including testing of electrical protective devices, to ensure compliance with safety standards. Travel to project sites as needed, with some trips lasting several weeks. High travel periods are planned in advance. Other duties may be assigned. What You'll Bring 2-year Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (Preferred). 3 years of experience in high voltage testing and commissioning. Familiarity with test equipment such as Omicron, Megger, Doble, etc. Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical single-line diagrams, three-line drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, network diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Experience testing and commissioning protection equipment and devices (e.g., protective relays, RTUs, breakers, transformers). Thorough understanding of electrical hazards (shock, arc flash) and a commitment to industry-standard safety practices. Travel Requirements: Extensive travel is required, with some trips lasting several weeks. Travel schedules are planned in advance, with periods of high travel demand expected.
