The LDAR Inventory Projects Technician position performs activities related to LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) component inventory projects. The project may consist of multiple tasks to initiate, modify, or validate the facilities' current component inventory of the LDAR program. Tasks associated with this position provide various clients with regulatory compliance services related to facility environmental programs.
Essential Functions
· Understanding of EPA Method 21 including inspection techniques and instrument calibration
· Ability to identify various process equipment (valves, pumps, compressors, flanges, piping connections, etc.)
· Accurately and completely perform administrative duties, including recordkeeping documentation and forms, submitting receipts, and completing daily timesheets
· Become proficient in project field responsibilities including reviewing Pipe and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), flag process lines/equipment, affix physical component inventory tags, and accurately document component information required.
· Ability to perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) of work and upholding set company standards
· Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements related to project facility
· Ability to functionally utilize, maintain, and troubleshoot project specific equipment including Toxic Vapor Analyzers (TVA's), electronic data logging devices and computers
· Reporting Open Ended Lines (OEL), Audible Visual and Olfactory (AVO) emissions, damage, or hazards to appropriate site-specific personnel
· Ability to successfully complete and maintain required safety and site-specific training and accreditations.
· Incorporate safety into daily work activities, utilize all required safety personal protection equipment and perform safety inspections/audits as required
· Maintains cleanliness of company property, including office, vehicle, and other work areas
· Aid other company projects as needed and/or perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Work Environment

· Outdoor work in petroleum refineries, chemical or gas processing facilities walking and standing for prolonged periods of time.

· Carrying equipment on your persons that could weigh up to approximately 15-25 lbs. Testing instruments, data logger, hand tools, and miscellaneous equipment are typically carried in a backpack.
· The work involves ascending stairs, climbing vertical ladders, and working from elevated heights, heights may exceed 300 feet, (wearing personal fall protection when required) with equipment described above.
· All outdoor work is performed wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes, but is not limited to, a hardhat, fire retardant coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety boots, and a 5-point safety harness (when required).
Travel
(80-100%). Travels to and from various petroleum refineries, chemical or gas processing facilities. Depending on the assignment and the remoteness of the site, may require travel on weekends.

Position Purpose:
Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of moderately complex to complex
instrumentation and electrical equipment to include control systems, sensors, analyzers, electrical motors,
pneumatic instrumentation, programmable controllers, etc. to insure optimum performance of machines and
associated equipment. Adheres to all health, safety, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal and
state regulations.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair existing problems by utilizing a variety of electrical testers/devices to determine possible causes for problem situations.
Dismantle a variety of electrical devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and reassemble and test for optimum performance.
Repair and/or replace functional parts of control instruments and ability to interpret instructions and diagrams in correcting existing problems.
Maintain appropriate records on completed work performed and forwards logs along with findings to immediate supervisor.
Assist with equipment failure analysis.
Set up and check preventive equipment such as emergency generators, cathodic protection, change desiccant in water's air system, waste feed cut off testing, analyzer gas equipment, etc. to insure that safety measures are maintained within the facility.
On an as-needed basis, order needed parts and machinery and keep adequate inventories to meet scheduled on-going electrical/instrumentation maintenance programs.
Other work related duties as assigned.

· Carrying equipment on your persons that could weigh up to approximately 15-25 lbs. Testing instruments, data logger, hand tools, and miscellaneous equipment are typically carried in a backpack.
· The work involves ascending stairs, climbing vertical ladders, and working from elevated heights, heights may exceed 300 feet, (wearing personal fall protection when required) with equipment described above.
· All outdoor work is performed wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes, but is not limited to, a hardhat, fire retardant coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety boots, and a 5-point safety harness (when required).
Travel
(80-100%). Travels to and from various petroleum refineries, chemical or gas processing facilities. Depending on the assignment and the remoteness of the site, may require travel on weekends.

The Surveyor Instrument Technician provides support to the Surveyor Party Chief in the daily responsibilities of the land surveying department. This position is responsible for collecting survey data using designated survey equipment. Ideal candidates must be willing to travel to support project needs.
Duties:
* Operates total station, digital and automatic level, Topcon data collector, TDS software.
* Collect data for field level notes which is reported to the Surveyor Party Chief.
* Assist in loading and unloading survey equipment from the company vehicle.
* Ability to travel and stay overnight based on the workload of the Survey Department.
* Conduct all work activities in compliance with Thompson Holdings, Inc. Health, Safety & Environmental Management System, safety policies & procedures, safety execution plans and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses.
* Attend and pro-actively participate in monthly safety meetings, project toolbox safety meetings and safety moments.
* On time and consistent attendance is required.
Minimum Requirements
* Five (5) years verifiable experience in surveying commercial and/or heavy industrial construction stakeout.
* Must have working knowledge of GPS software using the Topcon Hyperlite.

The Global Hydrogen division of Linde, Inc. is currently seeking an Instrument & Electrical Technician in Sulphur, LA area. The candidate should have a strong electrical background and experience in Instrumentation. Basic Function: Provide planning and onsite support to the Sites, with a strong focus on critical safety systems and system reliability. Perform Electrical troubleshooting, calibrations, and Instrumentation troubleshooting, repairs, and instrumentation installations as required.
Performs all of the administrative and reporting tasks of the position including:
* Maintains operating and maintenance history for all equipment as may be required.
* Prepares and maintains documentation such as EAM/Procal work orders, service reports and equipment calibration records as required by Linde's I/E CMMS maintenance database system.
Duties:
* Perform Work Safely and in accordance Linde's policies and procedures.
* Troubleshoot, maintenance and minor repair of low voltage electrical systems (600VAC and below).
* Troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of pneumatic and electronic analog and digital process control instrumentation.
* Troubleshoot/repair Predictive program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS system and required by site specific documentation.
* Troubleshoot systems utilizing control logic drawings as they relate to process control.
* Will include startup / shutdown and operations of process plant equipment
* Process analytical equipment calibration and maintenance which may include Thermal Conductivity, Gas Chromatograph, Electrolytic process analyzers.
* Schedule and perform activities related to the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, instrumentation, control valves, motor control systems, low voltage electrical distribution, computer interfaces, and analytical equipment.
* Automatic control valve troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
* Ensure spare parts are available or replaced when used/installed.
* Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
* Required to climb ladders, stairways and operate man-lifts for elevated instrumentation and control valve maintenance.
* Instructs contract personnel on safety rules and regulations and maintains constant surveillance to assure their compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
* Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.
* 3 years related experience in process control instrumentation
