Under general supervision the Equipment Operator, assists in the construction and maintenance of the city streets, trails, parking structures, ROW maintenance, concrete structures, storm water features by operating a variety of construction and maintenance equipment. Posted range is the starting salary. Pay rate offered is based on experience. Examples of Duties * Assist a field crew in maintenance and construction of streets, trails, parking structures, alleys, and storm drainage systems. * Performs duties including asphalt and concrete repair, mowing, maintenance of storm drains, catch basins, and storm drain pipes. * Operate construction equipment to repair and maintain the streets and storm drainage systems. The Walnut Creek Mine is a captive lignite operation with an impressive capacity, producing over 2 million tons of lignite annually. Opportunity Summary The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy mining equipment, conduct preventive maintenance, and actively participate in hazard analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks. Job Details Experienced Hutto, TXDescription Heavy Equipment operators at Austin Wood Recycling are responsible for operating a variety of equipment types to clear and grind trees, limb, and other natural forest materials; as well as the equipment used to manufacture mulches and soils. Equipment Operators will progress from operating wheel loaders, track loaders, excavators, to grinders. We expect equipment operators to operate all our equipment in a safe and professional manner and to maintain a professional demeaner when engaging with customers and coworkers. As a Fusion Technician with APTIM, you will be required to operate off road truck skid loader, man lift and extend a boom forklift fusion machines for installation of HDPE piping at the project sites. As a Fuse Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring proper pipe fusing operations while adhering to project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: * Operate and maintain fusion equipment to fuse pipes. * Perform pipe preparation, welding, and joining tasks in compliance with processes and specifications. * Inspect and verify fused joints to ensure integrity, quality, and adherence to project requirements. * Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations on-site and meet project deadlines. * Follow all safety protocols and regulatory standards while working in hazardous or confined environments. * Document fusion activities, including measurements, quality checks, and other project-related records. * Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fusion equipment to ensure optimal performance by repairing or replace defective parts of machinery, such as rotary drill rigs, water trucks, air compressors, and pumps using hand tools. * Operate off road trucks on side slopes. * Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly. * Install well heads and valves.
