1. Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
Regulate heat and ventilation systems to provide temperatures appropriate to the season and to ensure economical use of fuel, water and electricity.
Shovels, plows, and sidewalks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate.
Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and that all panic bolts are working properly during the hours the building is occupied.
Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture.
Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day when their condition requires it.
Cleans and disinfects toilet floors daily and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily.
Washes all windows, both inside and outside, as often as may be necessary.
Keeps the grounds free of rubbish.
Performs grounds keeping chores such as grass cutting, tree trimming and flowerbed tending to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.
Cleans all chalkboards/whiteboards daily.
Makes building repairs within his/her capabilities.
Reports the need for major repairs or any damage to school property promptly to the principal.
Maintains a regular serving schedule on all motors and other mechanical equipment that require scheduled servicing.
Remains on the school premises during the school hours and during non-school hours when use of the building has been authorized and his attendance is required by the principal.
Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day and for determining, before leaving, that all doors and windows are secured, and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off.
Keeps an inventory of supplies, equipment, and fuel on hand, and requisitions needed supplies far enough in advance so that they may be delivered in time to not hinder the performance of custodial duties.

Will be an active participant in school district approved in-service training programs.

11. Raises the United States and Wyoming flags at or before 8:00 a.m. on each school day, and lowers them at or after 3:30 p.m.
12 Perform such yard keeping chores as keeping the ground free from rubbish, trimming the trees, as necessary to maintain the school grounds in a sage and attractive condition.
13. Report major repairs needed promptly to the Principal.
14. Reports immediately to Principal or Director of Custodial Services any damage to school property.
15. Authorized to remain on the school premises when attendance is required by the Principal.
16. Assumes responsibility for the opening and closing of the building each school day. Doors and windows are secured and all lights, except those left on for safety reasons are turned off.
17. Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities as directed by the Principal.
18. Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste.
19. Reports any unusual conditions or malfunctioning of heating, plumbing or electrical systems.
20. Sound fire signal to alert fire department and school personnel in event of fire.
21. Report unauthorized persons to proper authority, routes or detains them, and/or calls police for assistance, according to emergency action plan.
22. Participates in in-service training programs as appropriate.
23. Perform other related duties as assigned.
