Transportation company history timeline

1962

ETİ began its production in 1962 in a factory personally designed by Mr.

Eti was founded in 1962 by Firuz Kanatlı. The company uses the Hittite sun disk as their logo.

1967

ETİ Makine Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. was founded in Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone for the purpose of combining design, production, assembly and comprehensive service activities of ETİ continuing since 1967 under a single roof.

1972

Firuz Kanatlı's company ETİ Biscuit Factory became ETİ Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. on 13 March 1972 with the participation of family members.

1996

During his only interview, Firuz Kanatlı explained that in 1996, the company was required to ask permission and pay taxes to the Gülen movement if they wanted to continue selling their products in Istanbul.

2000

2000 The Cohesio is exhibited and sold at LabelExpo Brussels.

2001

2001 Rapid growth of the company’s sales.

2001 yılından bu yana 6 farklı oyunla 1,5 milyona yakın çocuğa ulaşan ETİ Çocuk Tiyatrosu, bu sezon 45 il/ilçede 120 bin çocuğu daha tiyatro sanatı ile ücretsiz buluşturacak.

2002

2002 Launch of the Metronome.

2003

2003 Launch of the Labeline, an equipment which combines the printing, the adhesive and the silicone coating.

A new period began for Eti in 2003.

In 2003, Kanatlı started "a new era" in production facilities to improve efficiency, which he himself called a "civil war".

2004

In ‘2004 Awards of Respect for Consumer’ given by Consumers Union, ETİ was chosen as “Company of the Year” with “ETİ Pronot” product developed for Celiac and Phenylketonuria patients.

2005

2005 Partnership with Goldschmidt Degussa (now Evonik) for the development of UV-silicones for in-line manufacturing of pressure sensitive material.

2006

2006 Additional product line developments, Exagon-OM combination offset-flexo machine (currently in development) and the ETI-Cut die-cutting line.

2008

“ETİ ÇEKÜL Cultural Ambassadors” social responsibility project launched in 2008 by ETİ and ÇEKÜL Foundation to protect the cultural values of our country and pass them on to the future generations completed its fifth and final year.

2011

2011 Miniliner, Linerless launch

The cooperation between ETİ Burçak and World Wildlife Fund (WWF TURKEY) continued in 2011 under "Climate Adaptation Campaign Project" with pilot applications to help increase the level of awareness of the farmers on adaptation to climate change.

ETİ ranked first in “Biscuit and Chocolate” sector given for the first time in 2011 survey, and won the title of “Most Admired Company” two years in a row.

2012

ETİ presented an award to recognize the outstanding achievement of Gamze Bulut who became Eskişehir’s and Turkey’s pride in athletics with her result of 4.10.40 in 1500 meter race in 2012 London Olympic Games.

ETİ received award in “Corporate Image, Strategy, Communication” category of MediaCat Felis Awards, one of the most prestigious events of Turkish advertising industry, in 2012 with its campaign of “50th Anniversary Surprise Happiness Activities” which received numerous other awards before.

2013

The top 51 accomplishments in 28 categories received awards during this event organized in April, and 2013 Effie Award was given to ETİ Burçak in “Good Job” category, ETİ Tutku in “Sustainable Success” category and Adicto Intense in “Cross-Border Success” category.

2016

2016 Patent obtained for the Pellicut technology.

2017

Since the death of Firuz Kanatlı in October 2017, his son Firuzhan Kanatlı has been the chairman of the company.
