Wage Range: $25.62 - $39.18 per hour plus 15% per diem rate Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. EvergreenHealth has outpatient phlebotomy clinics located in Canyon Park, Redmond, Woodinville, Kenmore, and Kirkland. These positions will have day shift hours with schedules Monday - Friday and occasional Saturday.
Job Summary
Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by providing fast and accurate information upon request. Exhibits problem-solving skills in order to promote efficient customer service and client satisfaction. Interacts daily with other members of the healthcare team to include laboratory and hospital personnel and must maintain a broad knowledge base.
Primary Duties
* Answer and navigate calls with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy using the best customer service tactics and practices.
* Uses the laboratory information system or other reference laboratory's web-based applications to independently solve complex issues in a sensitive, caring, and timely manner.
* Keeps accurate records of all calls and both written and verbal requests; provides call statistics to the Outreach supervisor.
* Has the necessary knowledge in phlebotomy collection to assist callers in proper collection and processing procedures acts as a resource to co-workers, clients and patients for general lab questions and directs any complex technical questions to the appropriate personnel.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Certification from an approved laboratory-training program with successful completion of a required internship preferred, or relevant work experience.
* 3 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory role
* Medical terminology
DESIRED for the position:
* Previous training and competence in dealing with unique needs in the range of customer service situations with clinicians and their office staff.
* Working knowledge of the various government regulations specifically Medicare and the Washington state medical Test Site regulations. Working knowledge of the College of American Pathologists (ASCP) and the Joint Commission (TJC) inspection criteria.

About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
