DIESELTECHNICIAN/AUTO MECHANIC I
Eversource Energy is seeking an Auto Mechanic in Manchester, NH.
Individual will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the heavy fleet including hybrid electric applications, aerial units and associated equipment. Included in the duties are tasks such as making repairs to engines, chassis, brake work, tire work, aerial units, hydraulics, electrical, diagnostics and other general repairs on trucks and equipment in the Area Work Centers, at the Automotive Maintenance Center and roadside response. The ultimate wage rate for this position is $44.78 In addition to the ultimate wage rate, this position is eligible for a shift differential of $2.00 per hour. Eversource provides all tools, uniforms, personal protective equipment and a boot allowance.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires mechanical aptitude, ability to perform physical requirements of the position, manual and finger dexterity and the ability to communicate effectively, including being able to follow detailed written instructions. It also requires the individual to be able to read schematics and wiring diagrams, use basic hand, machine and power tools, operate test equipment, diagnostic equipment, computers and be able to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems.
Education requirements: Must have an Associate Degree in automotive / diesel technology or the equivalent in relevant work experience. In addition, the applicant must possess or be able to be trained to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (Class A) and a proven safe driving record. Ability to work alone self-directed. Experience with diesel - heavy trucks and heavy equipment required.
The working hours for these positions will be either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday (determined by seniority), 2:00 p.m. - Midnight depending on the business needs. Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments.

Operations Mechanic
Quantum Organics is looking for a qualified industrial mechanic to come join the operations team at our state-of-the-art organic waste recycling campus in Southington, CT. Our team operates an award winning, state-of-the-art organic waste recycling facility that turns food waste and green waste into renewable fuels, electricity, and compost soil products. Our campus is located is located in Southington, CT and is among the first of its kind to operate along the east coast of the US.
At Quantum, one of the processes we utilize is anaerobic digestion to convert food waste into renewable energy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified person with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle, assemble, fix, repair, adjust, align, and maintain industrial/plant machinery in a systematic manner and with a high degree of efficiency. The qualified candidate is familiar with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and equipment (piping, pumps, blowers, compressors, grinders, choppers, mixers, motors, starters, controllers). The successful candidate will become part of an operations team supporting our large-scale food waste processing systems and onsite co-generation plant ensuring they operate at peak efficiency. The duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Fix, repair and maintain mixers, pumps, in line equipment, grinders, chopper pumps etc.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues with unique large scale food waste processing equipment and maintain equipment based on equipment manufacturer specifications.
Work alongside our team to maintain our co-generation electrical unit, repairing pumps and mixers, large scale repairs to solid waste equipment, and general preventative maintenance.
Works safely at all times by preparing and/or following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures to protect self, other personnel, and plant equipment/systems.
Reads and interpret tables, drawings and specifications as well as think critically to evaluate the condition of systems, machines, equipment, and their components.
Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment based on manufacturer specifications.
Fabricates/constructs or orders replacement parts and installs them.
Uses a variety of hand tools, measuring tools, and equipment for cutting, welding and brazing.
Uses hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks to safely rig and move machinery when needed.

**Position Purpose:**

**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Performs a variety of basic operational and maintenance tasks relevant to maintaining safe and reliable operations of water/wastewater treatment facilities and systems ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
+ Routine cleaning and general housekeeping duties in work and plant areas as assigned, including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, mopping, painting, and cleaning of other process equipment and areas.

+ Basic knowledge of fundamentals of chemistry, math principles and hydraulics preferred.

**Position Purpose:**
Under the direction of Project Leader and the Deputy Leader work performed includes all correct maintenance at the plant and the stations. It also includes the day-to-day operations, and laboratory for the Rockland Wastewater Treatment facility. Work also includes maintaining the 13 pump stations and assisting the town in the collection system.
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ In charge of the maintenance program: Enters data and closes data.
+ Performs preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment according to vendor specifications. This includes but is not limited to lubrication, adjustments, oil changes, pump repair.
+ Inspects and troubleshoots equipment using tools of the trade.
+ Installs new or replacement mechanical systems and equipment. Prepares labor and material estimates to present to the project leader.
+ Performs mechanically related activities specified by work order like vibration analysis and nondestructive testing.
+ Welds, brazes, and solders using gas and electric equipment common to the trade.
+ Keeps track of the maintenance inventory and reports monthly that inventory to the project leader.
+ Prints out monthly maintenance reports to the project leader.
+ Operates and maintains project vehicles.
+ Maintaining safe and reliable operations of the wastewater treatment facilities and the pump stations ensuring operational compliance with state and federal regulations.
+ Share duties with other co-workers to complete the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and lab.
+ Operates equipment either through SCADA or by manual control.
+ Monitors and observes operating conditions. Records observations and data in a logbook.
