The Associate Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment, while providing engineering and technical services to support our growing organization. We offer a unique and exciting opportunity to explore the best of both worlds, working both in the office and the field on a variety of interesting projects. Areas of expertise include designing new substations and infrastructure, analyzing systems and disruptions to service, working with transformers, engineering the electrical protection and control circuits that handles the flow of power, and dealing with acceptance testing of equipment, failures of equipment and analysis of system disturbances.
This is a hybrid role.The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Transmission Line Engineering Individual will take an active role in design and analysis of high voltage and extra high voltage electric transmission lines on the Eversource Energy Transmission System. The position is within the Eversource Transmission Line Engineering group; responsibilities include the development and preparation of drawings, specifications, reports and estimates for transmission capital project work, maintenance support and other analyses as needed. This effort will make extensive use of the PowerLine Systems software packages including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and TOWER; L-Pile; MFAD; EPRI EMF Workstation, MathCAD, AutoCAD and others. Individual will have interaction with Transmission System Planning, Siting & Permitting, Project Management, Real Estate and other functional areas within the Transmission Business. Some efforts will require cooperation with vendor resources, and as such, teamwork and communication skills are vital to this position. Individual will be involved with studies and may provide or support testimony with the Connecticut Siting Council, the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board and other regulatory agencies for national and regional energy policy.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
Experience: 0-3 years related experience is required. Engineering design experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
* Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
* Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
* Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver's license is required.

Our Field Engineering team is looking for an intern to join their team! This intern will have exposure to troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning protection and control schemes and electrical power apparatus associated with the Bulk Electric System and Distribution System.
Our Field Engineering intern will assist the department in tasks such as:
Calibration and repair of Test Equipment such as power system simulators used to maintain relay systems required for regulatory compliance;
Reviewing Test Equipment inventory and managing repairs with original equipment manufacturers.
Work with supervision to ensure job aids, engineering documentation, material, and test equipment is available for task execution.
Shadow Field Engineers and Supervisors in the field conducting relay maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction commissioning activities in the substations.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering technology
Individual must hold a valid motor vehicle license
Must be available to start May 27th for a minimum of 10-12 weeks
Interns are paid through our Managed Service Provider Program and are not employees of Eversource. Payrates are hourly and based on year of graduation and if the role is technical or non-technical. Technical rates start at $20.60 freshman and up to $27.38 for a senior.

Job Summary
This position offers hands-on experience in marine fieldwork and sample processing as part of Millstone's environmental monitoring programs. Responsibilities include multiple days per week working outdoors aboard research vessels in Long Island Sound. Key Responsibilities
+ Develop Scripts for functional & visual testing for primarily web\-based solutions\.
+ Learn and leverage tools/technologies such as TOSCA \(Tricentis\) and AppliTools for automation, Python/Selenium scripts along with Splunk and AppDynamics for Observability & monitoring, JIRA \(for Agile\) and qTest \(for Test Management\)
+ Monitor for health/stability of Automation and Monitoring solutions\.
+ Collaborate with respective Platform Engineers / Developers to troubleshoot & investigate issues to determine root cause, recommend corrective next steps and continue to enhance/improve solutions and capabilities\.
+ Participate in Agile ceremonies\.
+ Maintain and/or enhance operational documents / tasks that enhance our platform posture and streamline Engineering processes\.
+ Own/Drive Bi\-Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly analysis/reports for Leadership \(in partnership with other Leads/Engineers in the team\)
+ Work closely with Development teams to identify business needs, articulate requirements and drive solutions\.
+ Maintain Digital Hub \(a central repository of information built on PowerApps/PowerBI\)

The Associate Engineer will work with complex systems and equipment, while providing engineering and technical services to support our growing organization. We offer a unique and exciting opportunity to explore the best of both worlds, working both in the office and the field on a variety of interesting projects. Areas of expertise include designing new substations and infrastructure, analyzing systems and disruptions to service, working with transformers, engineering the electrical protection and control circuits that handles the flow of power, and dealing with acceptance testing of equipment, failures of equipment and analysis of system disturbances.
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Transmission Line Engineering Individual will take an active role in design and analysis of high voltage and extra high voltage electric transmission lines on the Eversource Energy Transmission System. The position is within the Eversource Transmission Line Engineering group; responsibilities include the development and preparation of drawings, specifications, reports and estimates for transmission capital project work, maintenance support and other analyses as needed. This effort will make extensive use of the PowerLine Systems software packages including PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole and TOWER; L-Pile; MFAD; EPRI EMF Workstation, MathCAD, AutoCAD and others. Individual will have interaction with Transmission System Planning, Siting & Permitting, Project Management, Real Estate and other functional areas within the Transmission Business. Some efforts will require cooperation with vendor resources, and as such, teamwork and communication skills are vital to this position. Individual will be involved with studies and may provide or support testimony with the Connecticut Siting Council, the Massachusetts Energy Facilities Siting Board and other regulatory agencies for national and regional energy policy.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
Experience
: 0-3 years related experience is required. Engineering design experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Depending on the specific nature of the engineering role, position may require occasional to significant travel by car. A valid driver's license is required.
