Dave Merkel has been involved in the information security field for nearly 20 years, first as a Federal agent pursuing cyber-criminals in the era of floppy disks and 2400 baud modems through his most recent experience as the Global Chief Technology Officer of FireEye, a leading cyber-security solutions provider. Dave is now the CEO of Expel.

Supported and led businesses (and more importantly, people) through periods of economic decline and in high growth environments. Established and grew the world’s most effective threat detection and response capability available commercially.

I'm a technologist, working primarily in computer networking and security. I have developed software, including protocols, device management systems and security software. I have built and led teams, in the fields of content delivery, security and IT operations.

I have experience in complete product life cycle including requirements gathering, design, development, and customer support.

Peter Silberman is a CTO at Expel and is based in Washington, D.C.. He has worked as Software Engineer at Mandiant; Technical Director, Innovation and Custom Engineering (ICE) at Mandiant; and Senior Director, Innovation and Custom Engineering (ICE) at FIREEYE, INC.. Peter attended University of Mary Washington between 2004 and 2008.
