Job Summary:
The Machine Adjustor will manage the production of each assigned machine during the shift to maintain each machine is running efficiently and producing quality products per customer specs. Continue checks of material throughout the shift for any non-conformities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Sets up and adjusts converting equipment for safe and efficient operation.
Start-up, adjustments involving close tolerances, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Assists in adjuster/operator training; Provides coverage if needed
Examines product to ensure the quality process is followed; Minimizes waste.
Perform visual inspections to identify issues as early in the production process as possible.
Performs preventative maintenance to ensure consistent quality production.
Maintains clean machine and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc.).
Other duties and assignments as required.
Communicate with the shift supervisor and/or machine adjusters about potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety
Required Skills/Abilities:
Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills preferred.
Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measurer, dial caliper, and micrometer
Flexibility is required with machine assignment.
Education and Experience:
Previous warehouse experience especially in the metal industry.
High school diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and twisting.
12-hour rotating shifts in a warehouse environment exposed to outside weather temperatures.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. With assistance from a pallet jack or helper if needed.
Training is on the day shift

**The mechanic position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and performing preventative maintenance on all types of diesel engines, concrete pumps, vehicles, equipment and hand tools within the company's fleet. Repairs shall be made in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner. The mechanic must have practical knowledge of all types of machinery and tools. The lead mechanic must have solid judgment and a good understanding of the potential consequences of the work they perform.
