Position Summary
The WPS 1060 Foundations of Math course will review basic algebra with the aim that students reach proficiency in quantitative skills to pursue other college level courses. Topics to be included will contain arithmetic of whole numbers, signed numbers, fractions, decimals and percents, polynomial arithmetic, algebraic expressions, factoring, solving equations (linear and quadratic) with applications, and graphing. This class is a graduation requirement and prerequisite for college level math and science courses at WPU.

* Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi, while following all established deadlines.

The Facilitator will foster an inclusive environment that enables families to participate in their children's educational experiences through hands-on activities that promote language development, literacy skills, and mathematical thinking skills.
DUTIES:
* Collaborate as a team in the planning of workshops
* Conduct one (1) workshop per month during after-school hours (3:45-5:15pm).
* Workshops will take place in October, November, February, March, April and May.
* 19 total hours
* Conduct 1 workshop per month x 1.5 hours each workshop x 6 months= 9 hours
* Preparation time ( 1hour x 6 workshops) = 6 hours
* Setup and cleanup (30 min x 6 workshops) = 3 hours
* Initial planning meeting = 1 hour
REQUIREMENTS:
