Position Summary:

The Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Utah invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the area of isotope geochemistry. We seek applicants whose research complements and grows departmental and institutional strengths in areas such as (paleo)climate, water resources, solid Earth processes, and (paleo)ecology. The new faculty member will be expected to develop a high impact, externally-supported research program, effectively support our teaching mission at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive intellectual community. We can accommodate start dates as early as July, 2024.
Substantial infrastructure and support for light isotope analysis is available through the Stable Isotope Ratios Facility for Environmental Research (SIRFER), and the new faculty member will have the opportunity to leverage and steer the future direction of this internationally recognized facility.
