We are seeking a dynamic speech language pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation flexible workforce team! Preferred applicant will have formal training and clinical experience in providing feeding services. In collaboration with patients and families, the SLP is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of care within scope of practice. This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes. * FTE: 0.8 - 1.0, authorized to work up to 80 hours per pay period. * Schedule: typically Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Job Description The primary role of the Speech Therapist is to provide services to clients in the Pediatric (95%) and Adult (5%) programs. This role will be responsible for the evaluation of the client and the implementation of the treatment plan. Speech Therapists in this setting require significant pediatric dysphagia experience or continuing education. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Complete a thorough evaluation and identify needs in the areas of pre-speech, cognition, feeding and speech and language development, and augmentative communication/assistive technology as appropriate. Educate and demonstrate (verbally or written) therapy techniques to clients that can be incorporated into a home program; assist families in home program facilitation. With client input, develop individualized goals for each patient, incorporating functional abilities with the objective to increase daily living skills. Develop and implement treatment program to meet the individual needs of the client. Treatment provided is primarily center-based for clients. Teletherapy and home therapy occur on occasion. Attend staff meetings, in-service training, and continuing education courses as appropriate or required. Maintain communication with client's primary physician through progress reports or other communication measures. May participate in public speaking or community education programs that focus on issues relating to speech therapy services. Provide intervention to develop language and communication skills (individual, team, or group therapy sessions). Identify the need for a client to develop other communication modes and make recommendations and suggestions for adaptive equipment as needed. May be required to participate in case reviews, exit staffings, medical consultation staffings and school district multidisciplinary team staffings. Responsible for timely documentation of evaluation results, progress reports, discharge reports, daily notes, attendance reports, Medicaid prior authorizations and insurance justifications as required. Maintain professional clinical competency by attending certified CEU in-service or workshops in the area of pediatrics or adults. Collaboratively incorporate best practices and demonstrate a willingness to question established practices. Assist in developing strategic and long-range plan for the program. Perform any other duties that are from time to time deemed necessary by the Director of Therapy Services. Adhere to the agency safety policies and procedures. Follow all HIPAA and social media guidelines established. Attain productivity expectations consistently. EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in speech and language pathology or communication disorders. Currently registered and licensed by the State of Wisconsin or eligible for licensure. ASHA certification of clinical competency or pursuing certification. Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain within 3 months. Completion of a pediatric clinical affiliation preferred, but not required. Pediatric dysphagia experience recommended. Physical ability to lift and transfer children (minimum of 25 lbs.) Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children. Working knowledge and use of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children. Basic computer experience (Microsoft Office, Excel, Internet). Successful completion of background check and drug screen.

Assists co-workers in managing the teams' productivity/performance targets. Manages their daily patient schedule. Assists in maintaining an efficient clinic flow including assisting with scheduling, cleaning rooms and laundry. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology Licenses/Certifications Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - MN Department of Health required if providing services in Minnesota upon hire Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required if providing services in Wisconsin upon hire Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below: ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire) Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment if providing services for Home Care and Hospice Physical Demands Light Work: Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $37.04 to $50.77 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
