The Mental Health Practitioner provides counseling services to children and family members; evaluates needs of behaviorally/emotionally challenged children within the program and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plan or other plans; and carries out programs to enable children to attain maximum achievement and adjustment. Provides supervision to and evaluation of caseworkers; provides guidance to classroom staff for successful treatment processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervision of Family Wellness (Mental Health) Caseworkers is the Practitioner's responsibility.

Conducts diagnostic studies to identify child's needs, limitations, and potentials, observing child in classroom and at play, studying school records, consulting with parents and teaching staff, and administering and interpreting diagnostic findings.
Observes children to detect indications of abnormal physical or mental behavior.
Analyzes information collected to determine advisability of counseling or referral to other specialists, programs or agencies.
Reviews results of tests to evaluate child's needs. Confers with and advises parents to secure their understanding of and cooperation in the treatment plan. Educates families regarding diagnosis, prognosis treatment and rehabilitation process.
Develops and administers individual therapeutic treatment plans to assist children in controlling disorders and other problems. Guides caseworkers and classroom staff in treatment plan implementation.
Discusses progress toward goals with family.
Consults with other treatment providers as appropriate to ensure appropriate services are being provided. Conducts exercises, counseling groups, and family counseling during clinical therapy sessions.
Refers children and families to supportive services to supplement treatment and counseling.
Reviews notes and information collected to identify problems and concerns.
Consults reference material such as textbooks, manuals, and journals, to identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop therapeutic or treatment plan.
Completes required documentation, maintains client charts adhering to Medi-Cal, HIPAA and contractual regulations.
Functions as site administrator for Family Wellness Program for that region, directly responsible to the Family Wellness Program Manager.
Provides administrative and clinical supervision to and evaluation of Family Wellness (Mental Health) Caseworkers.
Reviews caseworker's notes for accuracy and Medi-Cal and contract compliance.
Participates in quality assurance and program evaluation studies.
Provides training and consultation, as appropriate, in areas of expertise to case workers, staff and parents.
Has strong interpersonal and communication skills that foster respect, teamwork, trust, clarity and collaboration with the client, their family, caseworkers, Head Start staff, other practitioners/supervisors, Program managers and other CAC administrative staff.
Role models maintenance of confidentiality of client, family, and staff information.
Organizes schedule, prioritizes responsibilities, and manages time effectively to complete assessments, treatment plans, client/family counseling, progress notes and supervisory/administrative duties.
20. Maintains an acceptable productivity standard of 50-60% billable time by the end of the probationary period and ongoing after that time.
21. Works cooperatively within the agency structure interpreting, reviewing, and adapting agency policies/procedures to improve the administration and programming of Family Wellness.
22. Is flexible and adaptable when other duties and responsibilities are assigned and delivers services wherever necessary.
23. Completes monthly reports to Family Wellness Program Manager for Children Services and Family & Youth Services Directors.
24. Attend program-related meetings as necessary and/or directed by Family Wellness Program Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skill & Ability
Education and/or Experience: MA or MS in a behavioral science field with understanding of early childhood development; two years related experience in early childhood issues; has strong observation, assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapeutic skills; is eager to learn and is open/accepting of feedback for personal and professional growth.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and billing units. The ability to apply algebraic concepts and formulas.
Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license. A valid California Driver's license with current auto insurance is required.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to speak Spanish is either highly desirable or required. Skilled in working with young children and families.
Other Qualifications: Some out-of-office travel required routinely with region. May travel within County about 10% of the time. Also requires knowledge of HIPAA and Medi-Cal compliance requirements. Essential Functions:

Respond within established timelines to MRSS dispatch calls and provide in-person or telehealth support.
Manage mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner to support clients in a framework and manner that acknowledges their unique and intersecting personal and cultural identities.
Collaborate with clinical staff to assess crisis situations, identify strengths and needs, and participate in crisis de-escalation.
Support the development and implementation of individualized short-term stabilization plans in partnership with the youth, family, and clinical team.
Inform licensed behavioral health staff of new or increased risks and changes in young people's presentations during the MRSS episode of care
Assist families in identifying natural supports and navigating access to community-based behavioral health services and resources.
Provide psychoeducation, behavioral coaching, and skill-building interventions to youth and caregivers.
Participate in regular follow-up and stabilization support for up to 30 days post-crisis.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of service delivery in compliance with Medicaid and OhioMHAS regulations.
Comply with workflows and data collection requirements for MRSS and Crisis services
Engage in required training and supervision to maintain fidelity to MRSS service model and agency standards.
Meet with Supervisor for weekly supervision.
Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.
Education/Experience:
Associate's degree or minimum of three years of experience in behavioral health setting working with youth and families.
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Must meet qualifications for a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) per Ohio Administrative Code.
Experience working in youth-serving systems (e.g. behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile justice, etc.)
Relevant experience or course of study in behavioral healthcare helpful.

The Behavioral Health Clinician provides high-quality behavioral healthcare as a collaborative primary care team member focused on short-term episodes of care, skill-based counseling, and coordination/outreach. This position works with a majority adult patient population.
We are offering a $7,500 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is available for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week benefitted position located at our Lebanon campus. Once oriented to the position, it will be a hybrid position, working three days a week in the office and two days a week remotely. We anticipate spending the first four to six months on-site while orienting to the position before moving to a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
As a licensed independent mental health clinician works with the Primary Care team to address the behavioral health needs of patients in primary care utilizing the Collaborative Care model of integrated care, which includes consults, short-term counseling, care coordination, outreach and data collection.
Partners with PCP teams to systematically screen and assess for opiate misuse and other substance use disorders. Conduct triage visits and/or initial evaluations to help clarify behavioral health concerns and develop an individualized, appropriate care plan.
Enrolls patients referred by the PCP into the collaborative care program, which includes both in person and telephone outreach visits for a short-term episode of care, up to 12 weeks duration.
Utilizes evidence-based clinical procedures to deliver care in a standardized format and measure patient's symptoms and response to treatment through questionnaires and survey tools.
Effectively maintains and manages a patient registry to track patients, monitor progress and report program focused metrics.
Provides limited face-to-face, short-term counseling including; problem-solving therapy, brief CBT, motivational interviewing or brief supportive therapy.
Proactively communicates with patients, primary care team members and the consulting psychiatrist to aid in effective, patient-centered, team-based care.
Assists patients in need of higher levels or care, specialty mental health or substance use services, outside of primary care, to connect with appropriate treatment resources.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Supports the department's educational and workforce development mission by providing supervision and learning opportunities for trainees in mental health fields. This may include supervising student internships and/or providing clinical supervision toward licensure for master's prepared clinicians.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Counseling/Therapy, or Addiction Counseling from an accredited institution of higher education, including an internship meeting professional standards.
Must be able to demonstrate that he or she has provided psychological services, on an inpatient, outpatient or consultative basis in the past 12 months

Finding Youth Resilience is a trauma-treatment focused mental health program serving youth ages 3-18 years old. We provide TF-CBT and EMDR, case management, and family support to youth who are working through varying levels of trauma. We aim to support youth and their caregiver through individual and family sessions. Our program offers a safe and supportive environment where youth can explore their emotions, develop coping skills, and empower them to thrive.
Responsibilities
Provide mental health services, consultation and advocacy services to participants and their families
Provide clinical assessment, evaluation, service plan development, case management, crisis intervention, collateral services, collect pre and post program data on program participants regarding satisfaction and progress, and other duties as necessary

Respond to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner to support clients in a framework and manner that acknowledges their unique and intersecting personal and cultural identities.
Identify appropriate interventions for clients in crisis, working effectively with the staff to access appropriate resources, and engaging community partners to develop an effective plan for supporting clients.
Provide Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST), SUD Targeted Case Management and Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and/or care coordination functions if needed.
Serve as a liaison to coordinate, makes referrals, or arrange for appropriate community resources when needed, acts as an advocate for the client as needed.
Actively participate in treatment conferences and meetings for the clients; maintain ongoing frequent contact with other assigned OhioGuidestone professionals or outside agency professionals assigned to case.
Accurately and promptly, document and maintain client and family interactions including, legal, financial, and clinical documentation within agency guidelines.
Attend and participate in regular supervision.
Maintain all required licenses.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Performance/Physical Requirements:
Able to provide services in an office, the community and/or client homes, which may include facilities with multiple levels
Work flexible hours, which can include days, evenings, and weekends, as desired to meet the needs of clients and the OhioGuidestone and is available for crisis management by phone as needed.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
Ability to take and pass a physical exam and drug screening.

The primary role of the Behavioral Health Clinician is to provide high quality diagnostic assessment for clients in Homefull programs. The Behavioral Health Clinician should function as part of the team in the programs to which they are assigned, and collaborate with case management & supervisory staff to meet the mental health needs of the clients, in order to increase client stability and success in housing.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
The Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible for:
-completing diagnostic assessments for clients to aid in housing and service referral;
-assisting clients in a behavioral health crisis;
-functioning as part of the Medicaid team and as directed by the Clinical Director, provide support to staff providing CPST services;
-completing high quality clinical documentation at the time of services, meeting all compliance documentation requirements;
-submitting Medicaid reimbursed services to help meet financial goals;
-complete all documentation following agency policies and procedures;
-providing clinical training to case management and assessment staff as assigned by Clinical Director and/or executive team;
-participating in ongoing education and training to develop professional skills and maintain licensure;
-ability to travel to Homefull sites both in Montgomery County and Franklin County to meet clients and consult with staff;
-other duties as assigned that help meet the mission and vision of Homefull and the needs of clients.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree and/or license in social work required with independent Ohio licensure (LSW or LISW) to provide diagnostic and therapy services as well as approve Medicaid reimbursed services.
