Job Description:
MUFG is seeking an IT Business Analyst I to support dynamic initiatives within its Private Equity business. This is a remote role focused on analyzing financial processes, defining technology requirements, and partnering with agile teams to deliver impactful solutions.
The position involves cross-functional collaboration across business and technology groups. Depending on project needs, responsibilities may span both business analysis and delivery management, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to end-to-end solution delivery.
Essential Functions:
Translate financial and accounting requirements into actionable software specifications.
Conduct user interviews to identify process improvement opportunities and document current (“As-Is”) and future (“To-Be”) workflows.
Troubleshoot issues in eFront FrontInvest and provide backup support for system administration.
Create and maintain documentation including meeting notes, knowledge articles, and business communications.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive positive change.
Write and manage user stories and backlog items in Team Foundation Server.
Serve as the Agile Team's Scrum Master for assigned initiatives.
Support prioritization decisions and manage execution of prioritized work.
Collaborate with users to develop and execute test cases during system integration testing.
Deliver demos of completed enhancements to end users.
Work closely with developers to clarify requirements and ensure business needs are met.
Ensure adherence to SDLC and Change Management processes; conduct internal audits for compliance.
Act as a flexible team member, taking on overflow or backfill tasks as needed.
Monitor team performance, generate reports, and lead corrective actions.
Help remove obstacles that hinder team progress.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Technology or Business Information Systems
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Operations Manager.
Strong background in requirements gathering, testing, issue tracking, and leading technical deliveries
Strong understanding of accounting/finance systems and translating business needs into software requirements
Proven ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical issues
Technical troubleshooting and problem solving
Experience in Private Equity.
Proficient in advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Main responsibilities include:

Functional knowledge of Equity and fixed income activities from a collateral and cash management perspective. Knowledge of booking, settlement, clearing, reporting and accounting is a plus
Familiarity with Collateral and Cash Management systems (Calypso or equivalent).
Familiarity with Broker Dealer systems (e.g., Phase 3/Shadow Suite), and trading systems such as Sophis (or equivalent), Smart Loan, Loanet,.
Knowledge of SQL, Jira, Confluence

The salary range for this position will be between $145,000 - $180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. As an Analyst in Commercial & Specialized Industries, you will work both independently and as part of a team to introduce a broad spectrum of banking & payments solutions to clients. As an analyst in the hybrid banking/treasury rotation you are responsible for supporting Bankers, and Treasury officers through business development, deal execution and client management.
The Commercial & Specialized Industries Analyst Program is a rotational experience designed to expose you to the many areas of direct client work across banking, treasury, and credit analysis with client-facing work, as well as extensions of these functions through strategic project work and more. Throughout your program timeline you will hone your financial and client-facing skills to build your career in the financial services industry.
Job Responsibilities
Work on financial models to support financing transactions
Assist in the completion of credit approval memos
Prepare marketing materials for use in client meetings (covering topics such as financing alternatives, working capital optimization, and industry analysis)
Learn how to identify treasury product solutions to benefit clients' long-term planning
Develop an understanding of the full breadth of J.P. Morgan products and service offerings
Conduct client and prospect research to support business development effort
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Minimum GPA 3.2 required
Superior analytical, leadership, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Keen attention to detail and creative mindset
Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exhibit sound judgement, agility, and the ability to work as a team player
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
1+ years relevant experience post-college graduation; experience in financial services, accounting, or a related field is a plus
Completed BA/BS degree (Business, Finance & Accounting preferred; all majors considered)
Some exposure to credit fundamentals and/or previous client exposure is a plus
Knowledge of the market dynamics and its business environment preferred
