Responsibilities:
* Projects involve a considerable amount of overnight travel, projects may be all over the country. The field-testing portion of each project typically lasts from 1 to 5 days and the test teams are generally home on the weekends, but some projects may require working or traveling on a weekend. The number of people needed in the field and the number of days in the field, varies with each project and changes from week to week. Expect 75% of the weeks to involve field work.
* When not in the field, duties may include equipment calibrations and repairs, prep and packing for future projects.
* During testing, the Environmental Technician will be at the location recording data, operating equipment, or working in the trailer recovering samples, performing analysis, etc.
* The Environmental Technician will become proficient in the various EPA sampling methods and develop knowledge about many types of industrial processes.
Qualifications
Requirements:
* Must be able to comfortably lift and carry 50 pounds. The testing projects can involve moving equipment to, and working at, elevated test locations, such as an exhaust stack platform or a rooftop. Access to the test location may be by elevator, stairs, or a ladder.
* Must be able to work comfortably throughout all the seasons as much of the work is outdoors.
* Completion of assigned responsibilities in a team setting with strong written and oral communication skills, and moderate computer skills.
* Successful completion of a background check and drug test (including marijuana) prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire. Once hired, participation in the TRC random drug testing program.
* Possession of a valid driver's license and successful completion of a pre-employment motor vehicle records check to confirm a good driving record. Once hired, maintaining valid DOT driver status (not Commercial Driver's License) is required.
* Successful completion of all required annual safety training.
* High School diploma or GED is required.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain flow meters in combined sewer and sanitary sewer systems.
- Install and maintain tipping bucket rain gauge systems with telemetry.
- Perform sewer manhole entries and completes inspections of the storm water systems and sanitary sewer collection systems.
- Troubleshoot telemetry equipment, flow meters, data loggers, etc.
- Conducts all aspects of sample collection for wastewater during wet-weather events, some can be outside normal business hours.
- Perform dye water testing and smoke testing to identify system leakages and verifying source of inflow and infiltration.
- Demonstrate competency in operating a variety of equipment including electronic data loggers, flow meters, power tools, hand tools, etc.
- Demonstrate understanding and compliance with Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies, procedures and safe practices as required by Stantec and client specific obligations, as required.
- This position will require extensive field work locally and some regional travel to meet project and client needs.

Example of Duties
Performs equipment repair and maintenance on golf carts, mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other golf course machinery; tunes and overhaul engines, rebuilds and replaces hydraulic systems, change fluids, and replace lights, tires, batteries, electrical system, engines, carbonators, fuel systems, steering, brakes, belts, chassis, etc.
Diagnosis mechanical problems.
Completes precision tasks like grinding and adjusting mower reels and blades to maintain the ideal turf quality.
Coordinates and/or participates in training. Trains staff.
Performs golf cart and vehicle body repair.
Maintains inventory of parts and supplies, orders new parts as needed, and keeps accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Adheres to safety protocols, maintains a clean and organized workshop, and disposes of oils and fluids responsibly.
Coordinates and manages vehicle and equipment preventative maintenance programs.
Works on building maintenance and repair that includes HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, landscaping, etc.

Qualifications
Education/Experience: Completion of secondary education (high school or GED) plus some additional vocational-technical training or other specialized formal education or equivalent in golf cart repair, construction, or equipment/vehicle mechanics and at least two years of experience in golf cart repair, mechanics, construction, or vehicular maintenance and repair or equivalent experience. Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Attendance: Being present at work is an essential function of the position.
Language Skills: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with visitors and members of the public, contractors, other management staff, employees throughout the park district, and subordinates; ability to explain technical information in everyday language which non-technical people can understand. The Cleveland Museum of Art seeks a tech-savvy, customer-focused part-time ARTLENS Gallery Technician to join the award-winning Digital Innovation and Technology Services department. Technicians greet visitors and guide them through the onboarding process for our innovative interactive digital gallery and app, encouraging them to utilize digital toolsets to look closer, dive deeper, and feel comfortable exploring every gallery in the museum. They also maintain and troubleshoot interactive hardware, participate in beta testing and bug reporting for the app, and provide feedback for improving visitor experience.
Requirements
High school diploma (or GED) and one to three years demonstrated experience in a helpdesk and/or audio visual environment. Keen understanding of iOS and Android mobile device and app troubleshooting is required. Knowledge of current computer systems and peripherals, Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking are required.
Positive attitude, excellent customer service and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to instruct and present ideas in user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users. Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of technology. Must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Must be able to occasionally lift/move 50 pounds as part of normal duties.
Responsibilities
Remove any barriers of technology in ARTLENS Gallery by greeting visitors, introducing them to ARTLENS App and gallery interactives, and providing guidance during the onboarding process.
Provide support for technology in gallery installations throughout the museum
Perform cleaning and functionality checks of ARTLENS Gallery interactives during each shift.
Assist visitors in installing ARTLENS App on their personal devices.
Contribute to problem resolution by giving in-person, hands-on support to the public as well as documenting consistent user issues.
Provide an excellent visitor experience in the ARTLENS Gallery space, using the museum's visitor interaction model as a guide.
Identify problem areas and propose solutions to the Digital Team to enhance the visitor experience, interactive experience, and technology performance in in the ARTLENS Gallery space.
Monitor interactives for content issues and report them to the Digital Team.
Participate in testing and implementation of public-facing technology installations, including those for major exhibitions, providing feedback to the Digital Team.
Performs regular technical training throughout ARTLENS Gallery exhibit area for interns, docents, and volunteers.
Provides readily accessible technical or general information to visitors and staff.
Work with the Digital Project Manager to test new ArtLens App builds and report any usability issues or bugs.
Rent iPads to visitors for use with the ARTLENS App.

Work Environment
This job operates in a petrochechemical / refinery environment. Exposure to cold working conditions during winter months and hot working conditions during the summer months. Exposure to noise, workers must wear protecting hearing equipment or frequently shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. In an emergency situation, exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur and the use of a respirator is required. All employees will be required to be fit tested for the various respirators used as well as the ability to successfully pass a pulmonary function test (PFT).
