This position will assist in the preparation of Earnings Release, Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Form 11-K, among other financial reports and statutory financial statements. Acts as the supporting engine in the reporting function to ascertain external reporting is complete and accurate. This position works hybrid, based in San Juan, PR. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support the Bank's Digital Transformation through the development of reports, databases and processes to support the reporting process. Ensure that these are rendered on a timely basis and with the required quality level. * Optimize and fully develop system resources for the automation of financial reports and support business units who are data providers in this automation process. * Utilize system resources to extract and organize relevant business information for purposes of analysis and/or inclusion in monthly, quarterly or annual financial reports. * Provide support in the implementation of new accounting developments and required disclosures. * Provide technical analytical support by researching and analyzing industry specific benchmarks and best practices in the financial/accounting reporting function. * Analyze financial reports and variances. * Review XBRL tagging for SEC (Security Exchange Commission) reports. * Perform ad hoc financial reports as requested, as well as other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident. * Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field required. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable. * Three years of experience working on design and development of SEC regulatory reports and financial statements required. Experience working with SEC reporting software, XBRL tagging and development of those systems preferred. * Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. * Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel - Advanced) required. Knowledge on Access, SQL, SEC reporting software, XBRL tagging (e.g. Workiva, CDM) and other business applications are highly desirable. * Fully bilingual - English and Spanish (verbal and written) required. * Basic knowledge in Sarbanes Oxley is highly desirable. * Enhanced analytical skills. * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills at all levels within the organization. * Problem solving, organized, responsible and detail oriented. #Li-Hybrid WORK AUTHORIZATION & ELEGIBILITY: * Legally authorized to work in the US is required.
