Must be 18 years old to operate floor machines and carpet equipment. * Essential Functions * Operates and maintains electrical, battery, and mechanical equipment in safe working condition. * Complies with established policies and procedures regarding Infection Control, Right to Know, and Personal Protective Equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemicals, radiation and other hazardous substances. * Incorporates Safety into all aspects of work. Uses "wet floor" signs properly. Responds to Emergency pages. Uses proper body mechanics, i.e. ergonomics. Properly uses chemicals including usage and dispensing. * Maintains assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition for patients, residents, guests, visitors and staff. Cleans beds, restrooms, furniture, fixtures and etc. Refills supplies. Promptly removes trash and linen. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner. * Experience * Preferred: previous hospital housekeeping experience * Education * Minimum: High School education or GED equivalent * Salary Range: $16.94-$18.39
