We are currently seeking a Personal Banker for our Evanston Branch. In analyzing members' financial needs, a qualified candidate must possess an understanding of credit unions, lending products and services, and have the ability to recommend and cross-sell additional products. You must enjoy working with people, and have strong telephone skills (inbound and outbound). A qualified candidate should have 2+ years of consumer sales experience. Solid computer, analytical, math, and communication skills are required. Financial Services experience is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. This inside sales position receives a variety of consumer/personal deposit (savings, checking, money market, CD, etc.) and loan (vehicle, credit card, signature, home equity, etc.) applications from various channels (in-person, telephone, online, mail, etc.) and is responsible for most of the steps from start to finish. There is currently heavy emphasis on new memberships and loans. Special attention should be given to the new membership follow-up process, Pending Lending Application Report follow-ups, Completed Lending Applications, Cross-sale Ticket follow-ups, and outbound calling. There are sales goals and incentives for household and product penetration by cross-selling additional business that is not customer/member initiated or the result of a marketing campaign/promotion.
