1+ year of dishwasher experience in a fast-paced, mid- to high-end restaurant, preferred.
A passion for mission-oriented work including serving senior clientele.
Patience, reliability, and strong work ethic.

Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed work environment and maintain high levels of productivity without direct supervision.
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen/restaurant environment with a team.

Separates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers; steam-cleans or hoses-out garbage cans.
Sorts garbage.
Polishes silver, using burnishing-machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth, if required.
Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.
Sets up banquet tables, when required.
Puts away all clean utensils; puts away & rotates stock in designated areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
Understand simple instructions.
Learn simple procedures and techniques.
Perform routine work or the same task over and over again.
Understands OSHA regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to the cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewashes soiled dishes before delivering.
Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
Remove trash and garbage and take it to the dumpster.
Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
Clean and roll/unroll mats.
Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Sweep/mop floors.
Assemble/disassemble the dish machine.
Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
General restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
Must notify the Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
Other duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Walks and stands during the entire shift.
Must be able to read labels on chemicals.
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils, weighing up to 30 lbs., up to 50 times per shift.
Lift and empty trashcans weighing up to 150 lbs., with assistance, up to two times per shift.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work that dishwashers do is physically demanding. They are on their feet much of the time. Dishwashers must work well under pressure and exercise tact and patience when dealing with other employees and customers. Because the restaurant serves the public and is open on weekends and at night, Dishwashers may work longer, irregular hours.
