As FoodRunner, you'll be responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to customers at the restaurant. They help wait staff maintain a clean environment for restaurant patrons throughout the dining experience. Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.
Your Responsibilities:
* Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately
* Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
* Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
* Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
* Serve welcome drinks and hors d'oeuvres, upon guests' arrival
* Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
* Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
* Remove dirty dishes and utensils
* Answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items

Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience as a food expeditor or similar entry-level role in a restaurant

* Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
Physical Requirements:

JOB SUMMARY
The FoodRunner supports the service team by delivering food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and accurate manner. This role helps ensure food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction by acting as a key link between the kitchen and front of house team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables quickly and accurately
Verify food items against tickets to ensure correct orders
Assist servers with tables and resetting as needed
Communicate clearly with kitchen team and server team regarding orders and guest needs
Monitor food window and assist with plating and garnishing when appropriate
Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations
Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with restocking supplies such as plates, utensils, and condiments
Support overall restaurant operations as needed during service
Setting the expo area at the beginning of every shift and restocking at the end of a shift

HOUSING
The Catalina Island Company offers shared housing as an option for eligible employees at a subsidized rate. Employees are responsible for paying a portion of the housing cost, typically deducted through payroll.
Accommodation generally includes shared bedrooms, shared bathrooms and a community kitchen. Housing is subject to availability and cost will vary based on location.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
The pay scale for this position is $17.81 per hour depending. The pay is the hourly rate plus gratuities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position works in a busy restaurant environment that can be warm, noisy, and fast-paced. This role involves indoor and outdoor environments. Must be comfortable and able to stand for up to 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. MATERIAL RUNNER / RESIDENTIAL NEW CONSTRUCTION
J.F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, Inc. is hiring a full-time Material Runner to join our fast-paced team. The successful Material Runner will play a vital role in supporting our field mechanics by delivering HVAC and Plumbing materials from the warehouse to surrounding new home construction sites using a company pickup truck. This position helps ensure projects are completed on schedule. A strong focus on accuracy, safety, professionalism and safe driving practices is required.
Our Material Runner makes a competitive wage including overtime pay after 40 hours/week! We also provide excellent benefits which include medical plans to choose from (one option offers a $0 weekly cost to the employee), dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan with company match beginning on day one, paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, as well as company-provided fully-stocked trucks.

· Clean MVR ( Motor Vehicle Report ) with 8 to 10 years of driving experience
· Able to pass a background /drug test
· Able to pass a fitness test; able to handle the physical demands of the job

Position Summary
Responsible for running errands, make deliveries required for job site, and keeps the field office clean and maintained. This position is deemed 'safety sensitive' due to the fact that a person improperly performing the essential or marginal functions of the job would constitute a threat to the health or safety of the employee, the employee's co-workers, and/or the public at large.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver, pick up and run errands for miscellaneous materials, tools, and supplies required for job site.
* Clean and maintain job site offices.
* The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license to operate company and personal vehicle for company business.
Physical Demands
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and long hours as required. Should have ability to lift at least 25 pounds occasionally. All of the physical demands listed are essential functions.
