What You'll Do Keep all kitchen equipment and prep/serving areas clean and organized. Plan and follow a cooking schedule to ensure meals are ready on time. Maintain food quality and safety by regularly checking temperatures and tasting dishes. Set up food on steam tables and restock as needed during service. Follow portion control guidelines during meal prep and serving. Check and properly use leftover perishables from the fridge and freezer to minimize waste. Jump in and help with other kitchen duties as needed. What We're Looking For 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or institutional kitchen setting. Strong communication skills - comfortable interacting with coworkers, residents, and family members. Ability to respond professionally to questions or concerns from both inside and outside the organization. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Solid math skills to handle measurements, portioning, and basic calculations. Able to make routine decisions that support the day-to-day needs of the department.
