Role Description: The Eberhard Manufacturing team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our facility in Strongsville, OH. This is a full-time opportunity with the hours of 7:00am-3:30pm (1st shift). The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance operations at Eberhard Manufacturing. Responsibilities: Trouble Shooting All Mechanical Problems Repair of Machinery & Building Preventive Maintenance Responsible for All Building & Machine Repair Tow Motor & Crane Operation Use of All Maintenance Machinery Essential Functions: BUILDING MAINTENANCE: Responsible for repairing and maintaining physical structures and utility systems of buildings - May include painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings of buildings and maintaining and repairing building utility systems, such as electrical wiring and controls, heating and ventilating systems and water distributing and plumbing systems Diagnoses for problems and makes necessary repairs Tasks vary daily and are assigned by need and urgency of maintenance MACHINE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR: Repairs machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels and straightedges. Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools. Essential Responsibilities: • Participate/support the RMP (Risk Management Process) and assist in the development of the system and operational standards and corrective actions. • Install and maintain all plant manufacturing and packaging machinery and equipment to eliminate downtime and achieve maximum production efficiency. • Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs. • Record daily maintenance activities, PM's, and work orders. • Ability to repair, rebuild or overhaul equipment. • Welding. • Install or repair facilities lights, wiring, machinery motors, electrical panels, breakers, airlines, water lines, or gas lines as needed. • Training and Safety - Provide a safe and healthful work environment for all personnel through consistent support of the company's Safety Process. • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces policies and safety regulations. • Must be able to work flexible hours; days, afternoons, midnights, overtime and weekends as necessary. • As necessary, other duties and/or projects may be assigned.
