Job Description
Position Overview
The Family Ambassador plays a vital role in fostering strong relationships between families, the organization, and the community. Successful Family Ambassadors will drive forward the implementation of a targeted student recruitment plan to achieve our schools' enrollment goals, including activities like community outreach, new family engagement, and direct new student recruitment. Family Ambassadors will also receive training to deepen partnerships with existing families and community leaders, expand KIPP's community of families, and create sustaining connections with new families in our school's community.
Through a part-time commitment of 12-20 hours each week, Family Ambassadors will work within the Enrollment Team and on behalf of school teams to implement recruitment and outreach activities, manage leads, connect with the broader school community, help raise awareness and visibility of the organization, and supporting new families through the enrollment process. This position may require weekend and evening coverage as well.
Qualifications
Experience:
* Experience with recruitment-related work preferably in a community engagement or advocacy organization, business, nonprofit, or education service preferred.
* Proven experience organizing and working within teams or volunteers toward a common goal.
* Service-oriented, able to adapt to a changing environment while applying flexibility to work under pressure and remain calm in the midst of competing demands.
* Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is strongly preferred. Spoken and written language skills other than English are welcome.
Knowledge/skills required:
* Familiarity with information communication technologies including google tools like gmail, shared documents, and video conferencing tools like Zoom.
* Must have reliable transportation to travel between campuses and to and from community events and meetings.
* Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is strongly preferred. Spoken and written language skills other than English are welcome.

Compensation and Benefits:
KIPP NYC offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $16.50 - $21.50/hour. Hourly pay ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and friendly, professional demeanor
Neat and professional appearance
Computer skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively operate and manage security and communication devices.

Position Overview: Join The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School as part of our School Safety team! In this position, you will assist in highlighting the STEM programs at Ithaca College to prospective students and families. Primary responsibilities include providing facility tours, answering questions, and conversing with prospective students and families, as well as assisting with Open House and in-person and virtual Admissions event.

Admission Hosts are expected to:
Participate in the New Hire training.
Lead facility tours as scheduled, typically on Mondays and Fridays, 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
Occasionally participate in weekday and weekend Open House and Accepted Student programs (in-person and virtual events). STEM Ambassadors will not always be needed for these events but may be called if staffing is needed.
Fill extra tour shifts as needed.
Be in good academic standing.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing Programs or their designee, the Nursing Program Ambassador assists the Health Science Student Navigator with mentoring, tutoring, and recruiting potential students who wish to enter one of the Nursing programs at SUNY Sullivan. Additionally, the Student Ambassador - Nursing Programs will attend College fair programs, high school visits, and BOCES programs throughout the state of New York and neighboring states, as well as representing SUNY Sullivan during open houses. Successful candidates enjoy working with people; have a background in nursing or adjacent sciences, have a wide range of experiences and a willingness to share these experiences with prospective students and their families. Required Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* CNA certification or LPN license recommended
* Valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel in an unrestricted manner
Preferred Qualifications:
* Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) preferred
* Experience in higher education
* Successful completion (With a grade of B or higher) of upper-level college level science courses: Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and/or Microbiology preferred
* Bilingual language skill a plus

* Assist the Health Science Student Navigator in promoting SUNY Sullivan's Nursing program to prospective students and their families (including but not limited to on-campus workshops, online workshops, college fairs, creating flyers, etc.).
* Traveling to recruitment venues as deemed necessary by the SUNY Sullivan Nursing or Admissions departments to recruit prospective nursing students for enrollment (College vehicle is available).
* Assisting the Health Science Student Navigator in tutoring upcoming nursing students in science-based nursing courses such as Microbiology and Anatomy and Physiology, through facilitating recurring student workshops throughout the year (including Summer and Winter Sessions).
* Participating in helping staff some SUNY Sullivan Admissions booths at fairs and recruitment events for the purpose of reaching out to prospective nursing students and sharing information about the SUNY Sullivan Nursing program, potential majors prior to applying to the Nursing program, opportunities and their own personal experience within the SUNY Sullivan system to prospective students, as designated by the Director of Nursing Programs.
