Additionally, a minimum of one year of experience as an EFDA is required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must have a valid Driver's License. Must have an Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary License from the Ohio State Dental Board. Must have a Dental Assistant Radiographer License from the Ohio State Dental Board. Fluoride application, limited to liquid or gel applications. Topical applications of desensitizing agents to teeth. Application of periodontal dressings (packs). Suture removal. Repair, construction and finishing of metallic and plastic prosthetic devises. Irrigation and drying of canals during endodontic procedures. Perform direct, four-handed assistance to dentist or dental hygienist during dental treatment. Record examination findings and treatment on patients' charts.     The Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) provides high-quality preventive and restorative dental care under the supervision of a licensed dentist, supporting efficient clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience while advancing access to affordable dental services in Southern Ohio. * High School Diploma or equivalent * Completion of an EFDA program offered by an educational institution accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation or the higher learning commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. * Preference given to individuals with prior dental experience and/or FQHC dental program(s). * Prior experience with electronic dental health records and digital radiography * Current/active registration as an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary with the Ohio State Dental Board. * Current/Active Dental Assistant Radiographer's Certificate through the Ohio State Dental Board. * Current certified dental assistant either through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) or a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant (CODA). * Current certification in nitrous oxide-oxygen (N2O-O2) minimal sedation monitoring. Successful completion of a course approved by the state dental board in the identification and prevention of potential medical emergencies. * Current healthcare provider CPR and AED certification through the American Heart Association. * Preference given to individuals with prior dental experience and/or experience in a healthcare setting.
