Responsibilities Lead in the growth and coordination of LiRo-Hill's Transportation Engineering practice encompassing bridge, highway, rail, and traffic engineering services within the greater NY metropolitan area Oversee the performance of a wide range of civil/structural engineering, analysis, planning, and design tasks related to capital improvement projects related to transportation systems and horizontal structures Supervise the performance of condition assessments, load ratings, design plans, and specifications for the repair and/or reconstruction of horizontal structures and related facilities including but not limited to: bridges, culverts, transit stations, piers, waterfront structures, etc. Utilize a broad assortment of technical and project management skills in the execution and oversight of projects that range from small rehabilitations to large scale new construction Mentor, train, and develop local engineering and CAD/BIM staff. The MEP Project Manager/Mechanical Engineer plays a critical role in successful planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within construction projects. This position oversees all phases of MEP construction, from pre-construction to project close-out, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. The MEP Project Manager will collaborate closely with VDC teams to streamline design processes, enhance project accuracy, and leverage advanced technology to optimize performance. Evaluate bids from MEP subcontractors and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the selected teams align with the project's financial and quality goals. Work with the procurement team to order MEP related materials and equipment, ensuring they arrive on-site in accordance with the project timeline. Work with the PM to develop the MEP project schedule in alignment with the overall construction schedule, ensuring seamless integration of MEP activities into the broader construction timeline Construction Coordinate daily with the construction management team to ensure MEP work is aligned with general construction activities, minimizing delays and conflicts. Oversee MEP subcontractors, ensuring their work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Proactively identify potential risks related to MEP systems during construction and develop mitigation strategies. Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality of MEP installations and address any issues or deficiencies promptly. Ensure that all MEP systems are installed according to approved designs. Closeout/Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems to ensure they are fully operational and meet project performance requirements before handover. Assist the project manager in the preparation of as-built drawings, warranties, O&M manuals, and other closeout documentation related to MEP systems. Ensure effective communication with clients and stakeholders during the commissioning phase, providing updates on system performance and final walkthroughs. Coordinate with the project team to provide system training to building operators and maintenance staff, ensuring they are familiar with the operation and maintenance of MEP systems QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required. PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications preferred. 3-5 years' experience in MEP project management or working for an MEP design firm, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Experience with VDC and BIM platforms (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, or similar software). Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and best practices in MEP and construction. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.     The Arrow ECS Sales Engineering Manager (SEM) is a technical leader for the Security Practice area. The Sales Engineers within the practice will report directly to the SEM and the SEM reports directly to a Sales Engineering Director. The SEM will have dotted line responsibility to, and tight alignment with, the Sales Manager(s). The SEM will have leadership responsibility for the Sales Engineers within the practice and will also have direct customer interaction as the technical leader for the practice. Experience working with IT security vendors (e.g. Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, IBM, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Cisco, Thales, Imperva, Forescout, Trend Micro, etc.) Background in services and/or systems administration is a plus.     Job Description Project Engineering Manager Employment Type: Full-Time, In-person Timing: Immediate Gemma Power Systems is seeking a full-time Project Engineering Manager (PEM) to join our team. This position will start out in our home office in Glastonbury, CT, and will then be assigned to an upcoming project. Once assigned to a project, the PEM will rotate between the home office and the jobsite. Gemma is looking for an experienced engineering manager to oversee multi-million-dollar power generation facilities or other industrial projects. Position Join Gemma's dynamic engineering team! The PEM is responsible for the overall technical well-being of the project from the proposal stage through engineering design, construction, and performance testing. The PEM will direct the development of engineering/design documents utilizing in house engineering staff and subcontracted Engineer of Record (EOR). The PEM will also oversee the EOR's development of specifications, plant design, calculations, and engineering solutions for the project with multiple trips to the EOR's office during the project design phase and a few longer trips to the site during construction, commissioning and performance testing. We are looking for someone who is self-driven with strong attention to detail. Project Development Job Responsibilities Read and understand project requirements for proposal activities Provide review comments for customer specifications, plans, and other scope documents Perform or review calculations for equipment sizing, heat balances, pipe sizing, auxiliary load estimate Develop or review specifications to support procurement bid activity Assist with bid evaluations and vendor technical selection to support the estimate Prepare an Engineering Subcontract for the prospective EOR Coordinate with potential customer and support conformance of the completed Contract Project Execution Job Responsibilities Read and understand project requirements for project execution, including Contract documents, project scope book, technical plans, and specifications Provide value engineering recommendations to the EOR or Project Manager for cost-saving installation, operational, and performance improvements Ensure that EOR drawings and specifications are reviewed, and comments are provided in a timely manner to support the project schedule Manage Engineering Subcontract ensuring the EOR meets specification and drawing delivery schedules and approve invoices. Ensure that vendor deliverables are reviewed, and comments are provided in a timely manner to support the project schedule Review and signoff invoices for Vendor payments for completion of Engineering Deliverables in accordance with the Deliverables schedule in the Purchase Order. Review technical bid evaluations in support of the equipment procurement process Review conformed specifications as required to purchase from selected equipment supplier Act as the technical interface with the designated Customer technical contact and prepare responses to client or owner's engineer comments on the design Ensure field issues that arise during installation and commissioning are addressed in a timely manner to support the project schedule Conduct performance testing to verify that the project performance guarantees are met.
