Position Summary
Food Service Worker 2 positions (FSW2) perform a wide range of food service activities including front and back of the house duties. * Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
* Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
* Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
* High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
* Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
* Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
* Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

Additional Required Qualifications
* This is an off-campus facility, employees must have a reliable form of transportation
* Applicants must be available to work early morning shifts: 4:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. (will work around student schedules and clubs)
* Applicants must be flexible with availability in order to split shifts between employees fairly, ensuring animals will be cared for during holidays and breaks
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
* No previous dairy experience is required, but is beneficial
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
* Employee may be exposed to noxious odors, infectious diseases, chemicals, loud noises, slippery floors and machinery
* Employee will be exposed to inclement weather conditions
* Employee may need to maneuver items that weigh up to 50 pounds
* Employee may be required to stoop, bend and kneel to provide care of the animals
* Milking shifts begin at 04:00 a.m. and 04:00 p.m and can last from 3.5 - 5.5 hours depending on season and number of newborn calves. (If shifts go longer than expected, employees are allowed to leave early to go to class.)
* Employees are expected to work at least two weekends per month
* Employee work schedules will be set according to class schedules
