Freese and Nichols, Inc. is seeking a Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in one of our locations in Georgia, Oklahoma, South Carolina, or Texas for our growing electrical practice. Our electrical group provides a wide variety of services to the water and wastewater industry, municipal, government, federal, educational facilities, commercial, and private practice clients.
Your responsibilities would include:
* Analyzing existing electrical systems and making cost-effective improvements
* Designing full electrical systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm for buildings
* Completing quality control reviews, inspecting equipment and testing on site
* Ensuring projects assigned are completed on time and within budget
* Providing quality control for design documents
* Ensuring conformance with standards, established design practices, applicable codes, and technical adequacy of design and construction
* Leading junior engineers in engineering design development and professional growth
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* 6+ years of experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Experience with power design, lighting design, and fire alarm design
* Experience in all phases of design, from pre-proposal involvement to initial report, design, production, and construction
* Experience interacting and working with a diverse set of clients and subcontractors
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to obtain PE licensure in other U.S. states
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of construction documents
* Proficiency in Revit

+ Project and client management, overseeing electrical design execution

**Qualifications**

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a CAD Technician II - Electrical at LJA Energy, you will be responsible for producing and revising detailed electrical drawings for industrial facilities, including lift and pump stations. This role involves working closely with designers and engineers in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
Producing and maintaining electrical drawings, including plans, elevations, schematics, wiring diagrams, and schedules.

Summary: LJA Central Texas Land Development Team has an opening for a Project Engineer. In this position you will be involved in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses supporting the Land Development projects. Specific project tasks will include drainage impact analyses for master planned developments, flood studies, FEMA Conditional Letters of Map Revisions (CLOMRs) and FEMA Letters of Map Revisions (LOMRs), conveyance analyses, and dam breach analyses, Aspects of the position include technical analysis and design with various client correspondence, team and mentoring leadership, budgeting, and planning. The selected candidate will work from our San Antonio Office.
General Responsibilities:
Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical analysis of large watershed engineering projects or a number of smaller projects with many complex drainage features.
Produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports with knowledge of municipal and federal requirements.
Use standard and advanced modeling techniques, theory, and practices in hydrology and hydraulics related disciplines.
Project Engineer may interact with the Client (internal and external) and must have good communication skills.
Knowledge of and participate in the development of construction cost estimates, design plans, and specifications.
Required Education/Licenses:
Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas
Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) a plus
Required Experience:
4+ years' experience in hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, detention design, FEMA Letters of Map Revisions, and Floodplain Fill Mitigation Plans.
Proficient in commonly used hydrologic and hydraulic software such as HEC-RAS (steady, Unsteady, and/or 2D), HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, XP-SWMM, and/or ICPR4 (Stormwise).
Working knowledge of GIS is a plus.

POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Project Engineer at LJA Transportation, you will be responsible for overseeing PS&E design and construction for water, wastewater, and roadway projects, while also preparing schematics and project documents for TxDOT and local agencies. The position will support program management efforts across all phases of project development and manage both internal teams and external consultants to ensure successful delivery of design, permitting, scheduling, and construction activities.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
Lead PS&E design and provide construction oversight for water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, lift stations, and discharge permits.
Develop schematics and produce complete Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for TxDOT and local government roadway and highway projects.
Collaborate with leadership to deliver GEC/Program Management support for multiple agencies and TxDOT through all phases of project development.
Manage and direct internal teams and external consultants on programming, funding, environmental document review, design and design reviews, cost estimating, scheduling, construction oversight, right-of-way, utilities, and long-term operations and maintenance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Recently passing the PE Exam will be considered)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A TEAM first attitude with a commitment to leading a team with Integrity, Responsibility, and Perseverance
4+ years of experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office, and/or Geopak (or Open Roads)
Some experience handling multiple deadlines.
Effective communication skills to engage with upper management and engineering staff.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing work assignments and project needs, often on short notice.
An open mind to alternative methods from what you have previously been taught
IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:
Previous work experiences in a management capacity
Experience with utility design (Electric, Gas, Drainage, Water, Wastewater)
Experience with water distribution systems, treatment plants, sanitary sewer collection systems, lift stations.
Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, SAWS CPMS, CIVCAST, COSA PrimeLink
Experience with TxRRC, TCEQ, FEMA, USACE, TXDOT and Municipal permitting requirements.
