Key Responsibilities:
Maintains patient flow during clinic hours. Documents review of systems; measures vital signs such as pulse rate, respirations, blood pressure, weight and height; updates past and current medical, social and family history; reviews medications and updates medication list at each visit.
Correctly records patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
May assist in training of new employees.
Prepares patient charts in EMR for visits by scanning, abstracting, and reviewing to make certain that all diagnostic test results, hospital reports and other medical records necessary to help the physician care for the patient are in the patient's chart.
Accesses and navigates websites or calls outside facilities to obtain necessary information.
May act as Super User for Electronic Medical Record.
Refills medications and pre-authorizes medications including communicating with the patient, pharmacy, or insurance company as needed to complete the task.
Maintains recording of patient samples and other medications and disposes expired medications.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients; maintains clean, fully supplied exam rooms.
Orders medical supplies as needed.
Completes patient assistance paperwork/requests as needed.
Obtains pertinent medical information from patients to facilitate medical decision making per specific office protocol procedures.
Returns calls as needed.
Responds to MyChart as needed.
Works in-baskets, daily work flow logs, and work queues in EMR/Practice Management system.
May coordinate/oversee work queues in office.
Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, checks-in and out patients, and completes pre-certifications for prescriptions, procedures, and surgeries as needed.
Operates EKG, cardiac monitors, and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests as needed and other clinical duties such as administering vaccinations, phlebotomy and cast removal as assigned.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Maintains patient confidence and protect operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements with the medical assistant role.
Demonstrates comprehension and support of quality measures and patient experience.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
Key Skills;Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, EMR and scheduling systems).
Strong verbal and social skills to facilitate working respectfully with patients, physicians, visitors, co-workers, and drug reps in person or by telephone.
Ability and willingness to travel to other physician offices as requested or needed.
Two (2) to five (5) years of Medical Assistant or other relevant experience.
Practice in different care settings (eg. Primary care, Speciality, EMT, etc.).
Complementary clinical skills such as phlebotomy, performing EKGs, stiches removal, splinting, etc.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
Associate degree
BLS from AHA

Responsibilities
The instructor shall work under the supervision of the site director. Plans, develops and delivers didactic, simulation, and hands-on lesson plan curricula as required.
The instructor shall provide high-quality academic and hands-on instruction aligned with military and civilian air transport standards, including patient stabilization, aeromedical evacuation procedures, and in-flight critical care management.
The instructor will be assigned to a specific role when on the course which is for the
entire week with scripted responsibilities.
The instructor shall be responsible for the development and delivery of respiratory therapy training, ensuring students gain competency in the following areas:
Aerospace Physiology & Altitude Medicine: Educating students on barometric pressure changes, hypoxia risks, gas expansion effects, and other physiological challenges in air transport medicine.
Emergency Airway Management & Ventilation: Training students in advanced airway techniques, ventilator management, and adapting mechanical ventilation for altitude changes.
Pulmonary Function Testing & Blood Gas Analysis: Teaching students how to interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results in flight conditions, adjusting oxygen therapy accordingly.
Aeromedical Equipment & Flight Adaptations: Demonstrating setup, calibration, and operation of critical care transport ventilators, monitors, and oxygen systems used in military and civilian transport aircraft.
Cardiac & Pulmonary Resuscitation in Transport: Conducting resuscitation training, including external cardiac compression and emergency intervention while transporting (or while enroute).
Preparing students for rapid patient evacuation scenarios, including adapting care in combat zones, disaster response, or humanitarian missions.
The instructor shall engage in peer review and professional development, participating in simulated aeromedical evacuation exercises and continuing education programs.
The instructor shall uphold safety and compliance standards in aeromedical education, ensuring proper handling of medical equipment in flight conditions and adherence to military transport protocols.
Create and maintain lesson plans, educational objectives, and instructional materials in accordance with USAF CCATT guidelines.
Provide instruction using medical simulation equipment and high-fidelity manikins to replicate in-flight scenarios.
Support evaluation of student competencies via written exams, practical demonstrations, and oral evaluations.
Participate in curriculum review boards and incorporate current evidence-based clinical practices into training content.
Demonstrate best practices for respiratory monitoring, patient stabilization, and ventilator function during altitude changes and decompression.
Participate in after-action reviews and quality assurance initiatives post-training exercises or real-world missions.
Advise the program Medical Director and/or Course Director on best practices for respiratory patient packaging, oxygen utilization, and disaster medical response.
Maintain accurate documentation of course delivery, student attendance, grades, and performance metrics.
Attend regular staff, administrative, and planning meetings with the Government's medical training staff and contribute to curriculum planning initiatives.
Qualifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and hold either a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. (No patient care).
Possess and maintain an active, unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in any U.S. state or territory.
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care settings, with at least two (2) years in critical care.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS).
Shall complete the Basic Instructors Course (BIC) within 60 days of hire, then complete 60 instructor hours to be qualified.
Contractor must be able to lift < 50 pounds and move human patient simulation equipment to and from training areas, work in low-light, high-volume environments, and differing weather conditions simulating actual aeromedical evacuation missions.
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
Prior military or CCAT aeromedical evacuation experience.
License - Certifications
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Focus is looking to expand our team by adding an Operations Assistant. The Operations Assistant will be responsible for administrative support to the VP of Operations, as well as manage our office location. As the Operations Assistant, you will be expected to work independently, as well as alongside the Operations team, and must be able to work well under pressure to handle a wide variety of tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in office support preferred
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail
Proactive; ability to think critically and independently
Strong written and verbal communication
Job Duties:
Manage our small office location /Filter calls for Focus School Software Executives / Support / general inquiries
Administrative support and organization of day-to-day operations
Maintain office supply inventory and order as needed
Maintain hardware supply inventory, and shipping and handling of hardware devices
Support and report to VP of Operations and Operations Manager to complete daily tasks
Perform weekly errands as needed
Track and maintain Focus vehicles prior and following employee use
Keep office tidy
