We are currently looking for an experienced and committed Pharmacist in Charge to take on the responsibility of leading daily retail pharmacy operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas.

Pharmacist in Charge Role:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and maintaining a patient-centered approach.
Lead and support a dedicated team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
Utilize PioneerRx pharmacy software to optimize workflow and enhance operational efficiency.
Manage compliance packaging operations using Dispill for accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate weekday deliveries to patients and facilities to ensure safe and timely service.
Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, controlled substances, and inventory.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to uphold operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with patients, healthcare providers, and the local community.
Ensure consistent adherence to quality assurance and compliance standards.
Pharmacist in Charge Background Profile:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited program.
Active pharmacist license in good standing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail pharmacy.
Previous experience in a leadership or management role is preferred.
Thorough understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy management software is a bonus.
Preferred experience with compliance packaging (Dispill).

As the Healthcare Consulting Director in Pharmacy, you will:
Lead and direct teams in complex performance improvement engagements, managing budgets, invoicing, and billing while ensuring successful client outcomes.

This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $237,500 - $317,250. ProSidian seeks a Registered Pharmacist to support an engagement with The Department of Veterans Affairs Meds By Mail (MbM). The Registered Pharmacist shall perform prescription order processing, call center triage services, and clerical duties necessary to meet all MbM workload demands. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual prescription data entry for processing at MbM.
The MbM program provides prescription mailings for veterans and other patients. Services being sought will be utilized to assist in supporting MbM's mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner without disruption in services or production.
The Candidate
This position serves as key member of the facility leadership team providing services that include, but are not limited to, pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, over the counter (OTC), medical surgical (Med/Surg), and controlled substances to patients requiring care. In addition, the candidate shall provide patient consultation, quality improvement and supply control duties.
Furthermore, the candidate shall direct the delivery of pharmacy services, efficient and effective drug distribution, and education to improve patient quality of life, minimize therapeutic risk and enhance clinical outcome. Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required.
D. Preferred or a B.S degree with at least 2 years, direct patient care experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
Current pharmacist license in the State of Illinois or license pending with a valid Letter of Authorization to practice pharmacy in the State of Illinois required. (The maximum allowable time to practice in a license pending status under the Letter of Authorization is 60 days per licensing regulations.)
Experience:
Health system experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
Maintains and demonstrates appropriate knowledge of changing pharmacy practice.
Willing and able to communicate with patients, families, physicians and staff to discuss issues related to medication therapy. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently to identify and appropriately resolve drug therapy problems.
Ability to exercise sound professional judgment while reviewing and verification of orders.
Ability to manage operational workflow, set priorities, and respond quickly to changing demands with minimal supervision.
Serves as a role model for all staff through compliance with professional and regulatory standards, and with all Health System policies and Behavior Standards.
Ability to use electronic drug information sources and other tertiary references to provide accurate, timely drug information upon request.
Responsible for activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure that all activities are performed completely, accurately, and safely and meet the intent of both state and federal laws.
Compounds, prepares, packages and dispenses pharmaceuticals according to all state and federal law requirements
Counsels patients upon request
Documents all recommendations and interventions in the electronic medical chart
Commits to sharing their knowledge, skills, experience, and values in preparing the “next generation” of pharmacists
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., preparing IV admixtures, use of a computer keyboard). May require lifting and carrying light loads, including boxes, equipment, unit dose-cassettes, and IV solutions and stooping or kneeling. Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) is often necessary. Must be able to physically operate the equipment used for the job.
Occupational Hazards: Potential for exposure to infectious patients and materials, though rare. Potential for exposure to hazardous and toxic substances including chemotherapy, cytotoxic drugs, and cleaning solutions. Potential for sticks or cuts by needles and other sharp, potentially contaminated items. Potential for musculoskeletal injuries if proper lifting and carrying techniques are not used.
