As an assembler, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. In this job you will assemble Mark V, TR-II, ScadaMate, or Vista Switches. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous production activity, must meet requirements within time constraints and you will be held accountable for the quality of your work. Tasks require a mechanical assembly aptitude, an above average degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools, working while standing on the floor and occasionally on a ladder or manlift.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembling Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations, ranging in size from 6' x 10' x 10' to 15' x 15' x 15'.
Assembling TR-II switches, ranging in size up to 5' x 1' x 1' to 11'x 1' x 1'.
Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance). Some judgment is required to assemble and make simple adjustments.
Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure, and electrical inspection using a test console.
Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes

The Role:
As the Assembler you will join our Durex Industries team and support fabricating, machining, and assembling parts for both subassemblies and final assemblies. This includes performing tasks required to prepare, assemble, and test components, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and adhere to project specifications.
Your Responsibilities:
* Retrieve and organize necessary materials, components, and tools based on work orders and/or blueprints.
* Assemble parts and components accurately and efficiently following specified instructions and diagrams.
* Conduct detailed inspections and tests to ensure the accuracy and functionality of assembled products, and update the Inspection Report accordingly
* Perform thorough inspections and tests to verify the accuracy and functionality of assembled products.
* Conduct live power tests to ensure all assemblies meet performance and safety standards.
* Operate machines to prepare materials for assembly, ensuring proper setup, calibration, and operation to meet assembly requirements.
* Complete and maintain accurate inspection reports detailing the quality checks, tests, and outcomes of each assembly.
* Adhere to the company's Quality Policy and work to ensure all assembled products meet the highest quality standards.
* Follow ISO 9001:2000 standards and company-defined procedures to maintain consistency in all work performed.
* Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to established safety policies and procedures.
* Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
* Follow all company policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook, to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
* Actively participate in identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
* May be assigned additional tasks as needed.
Our Requirements:
* Preferred at least one year of manufacturing experience as an Assembler or in a related role, with relevant training or experience.
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
* Proven ability to perform basic math functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with whole numbers, fractions, proportions, and decimals.
* Solid understanding and experience using various measuring instruments to meet drawing dimensions and specifications.
* Demonstrated experience in reading and interpreting documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedure documents.
* Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
* Ability to use hand tools, machines, and measuring equipment proficiently.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
* Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.

The Kit Assembly Associate - Day-to-Day:
You will need to understand and interpret instructions on production orders which describe the components including chemicals, supplies, and apparatus needed to assemble subcomponents or kits.
You will conduct quality and quantity control checks to ensure complete and total accuracy of multiple components including chemicals being packaged. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process for correctness.
Use machinery for assembly of some items (i.e. wire machine, dialysis tubing counter, paper cutter, etc). Safely and efficiently use necessary equipment, to accommodate the work and return to appropriate storage locations once job completed.
Stack finished products onto skids either individually or boxed. Move products throughout warehouse through the use of pallet jacks, cart, or hand truck.
Properly record information such as production process time and date packaged on work order via computer tracking system.
You will use computer and/or scanning gun to create labels for finished products. Mark items with the appropriate Flinn Item # when necessary.

What You Bring to the Team
You have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, SOP's and work orders.
Have experience with using measuring devices; such as but not limited to electronic balances and scales
