    Full-time Description Gage Marine Pier Division is looking to Hire a Handyman (Carpentry Focus) We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual with a strong carpentry background to join our team. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including general maintenance, repairs, and DC electrical projects, with a particular emphasis on carpentry work. The right individual will have experience with basic power tools and will be able to build simple wood pier pieces. The individual must have a good mechanical aptitude to be able to diagnose and perform repairs on boat lifts. Experience with basic hydraulic systems involving 12/24-volt controls is preferred but not necessary. You will be a key member of our team, ensuring the quality and functionality of our customers' piers and boat lifts. Responsibilities Perform carpentry tasks, including Building pier components, pier ladders and stairs along with varies projects in other divisions within Gage Marine. Conduct general maintenance and repairs on boat lifts Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, and hydraulic issues Complete other various projects as assigned Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Communicate effectively with clients and team members. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements Proven experience as a handyman or carpenter Knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Salary Description $23 per hour

    The Remote Lead Maintenance Technician position carries out activities required to maintain and correct damage and make repairs to physical buildings, structures, and facilities. Additionally, this person will do a variety of work involving equipment use such as ladders and scissor lifts. This position is responsible for routine scheduled, unscheduled, preventative and emergency maintenance services for All Nome Public School facilities in Nome, AK. This is a 3-week on & 3-week off rotational position with housing provided. The point of hire origin is Anchorage, AK. Assist leads in managing outside building, mechanical/HVAC, and electrical contractors conducting service, repair and new contract work. Assist leads in creation of budgets for individual projects, yearly capital and yearly operating expenses. + Assist the MHE, Refrigeration, and battery technicians. Duties will include assisting in MHE repairs, refrigeration system repairs, battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and other general maintenance activities.
