    Schedule: 2nd Shift (4:00PM - 3:30AM) The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the quality programs and functions. These include maintaining all HACCP, food safety records, plant audits, mock recall programs and training the plant on these issues and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Knowledge of all cleaning agents and applications, external, internal, cleaners, and sanitizers. Properly document and follow all procedures set forth in the frequency guide and standards. Ability to properly fill out batch reports, calculate variations in batch sizes, proper attributes, standards, and other data required on batch report documented per formula. Ability to properly measure and follow proper mixing procedures. Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot batch and make corrections. Ability to perform all testing, evaluations, and documentation of results while following procedures. Ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action on the line. Ability to properly prepare batch tanks for batching, tank rinsing, tank sanitation, odor, and tasting. Full knowledge and capabilities to perform internal pest control program, location of stations, checking and cleaning of stations, and proper documentation on hand of pest control program. Assist supervisors in resolving Quality Control issues, tracking quality trends, recommending and implementing plans to improve quality and production efficiency. Responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation by establishing and enforcing quality standards; testing materials and product. Ability to collect, analyze and summarize process quality information and trends. Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word. Position Overview: Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies, etc. for conformance to company standards. Responsibilities include but not limited to: · Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process. · Reports conditions requiring immediate repair. · Uses advanced inspection methods to develop and conduct quality programs. · Works under general supervision. · Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections. · Uses experience and judgment for planning and accomplishing goals. · May inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions. · May obtain samples to conduct studies in laboratory analysis and determines measures to be taken to remedy deviations from standards. · Conduct Product and Process audits and LPA (Layered process audits). Requirements/ Qualifications: 3+ years experience in quality and/or inventory Previous experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Previous experience with Oracle, SAP or other database management systems Strong and accurate data entry skills Intermediate skills in using Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent organization skills Excellent problem-solving skills. This is accomplished by inspecting parts, checking calibration status of measurement devices, and documenting inspections and nonconformance. Essential Functions: · Conduct First Article Inspection and in-process inspections of products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. · Maintain Calibration of Metrology Tools · Perform In-Process inspections, Final Inspection, Raw Material Inspection - Bar Stock, Inspection of Incoming Purchased Parts, and Outside Process Inspection · Data Entry into Quality Databases · Interpret mechanical drawings · Communicate product and material nonconformances to management. · Identify and report any deviations from quality standards to the appropriate personnel · Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions · Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize defects and improve product quality · Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation. · Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes · Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications: Education/Experience/Skills: · High School Diploma or equivalent · 2+ years as a Quality Control Inspector in a manufacturing environment that produces metal pieces · Able to read and interpret engineering drawings · Must have a complete knowledge of metrology equipment and their uses including micrometers, calipers, indicators, depth micrometers, gauge pins, thread gauges and optical comparators · Advanced Math Skills · Strong knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and tools · Familiarity with quality control standards and regulations · Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment · Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Fluent in English (Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills) · Ability to carryout detailed, written and verbal instructions Physical Demands: · Must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds · When performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger or handle or feel objects and tools or controls and talk or hear · Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms · Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl · Specific vision abilities require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
